I think the key is to find people who actually want to play a bo11. So far, it's been begrudging challenges, back and forth about the details of what/how/how many to play, what the meaning of a win would be, etc ... what we need are 2 parties who (A) others want to see play, and (B) actually want to play (instead of settling an argument).

There have been many inquiries from people wondering why Game #3 hasn't started yet, so here's a small update:



I know how disappointed the community would feel if the Challenge had to be stopped after only 2 games, so i'm taking steps to ensure it won't happen. Or that if it happens, it won't go unpunished.

That's why I'm currently in contact with the Clan League Panel to discuss our options. We have to iron out the details but if Phobos chooses to flee from this challenge, WG will probably receive a penalty for CL14.
The amount of points that they would lose is yet to be determined. On the one hand, we do have to punish behaviour that's harmful to our community. On the other hand, the penalty first suggested might send WG to division C, and that might be a little too harsh.

Anyway, hopefully Phobos joins Game #3 soon and it won't come to that.
I'll keep you updated.

While the idea of a punishment isn't a bad idea, I'm not sure if punishing via Clan league is smart.. This challenge and Clan league don't seem to have much to do with each other.

And if Phobos should be punished, shouldn't Nauz also be punished? He also quit the series against me after 2 games...

And no, no one except you ever cared about our series. It's small earth, no one in CL Div A rates that as a template, if they did it'd be in CL.

I thought this challenge was dumb too, but Phobos got offended when I said his picks were bad, and people wanted to start drama because I said 1v1 ladder trophies were meaningless, and not something I value highly when it comes to rating players ability at the template.

That's just not true... Rephrased for you:

"It's small earth, majority of people don't think its suitable for CL"

It's a big difference. I, for one, absolutely love the template and think it is the fastest way to see whether player is good or not, but I still don't think its suitable for Div A CL. If divisions had different templates, it would actually work very nicely for Div D, possibly even C.

small earth is only good at one thing and that's triggering nauz for fun
