Half of þe games I am in currently, are games where I am in a host situation: Especially because of my Evropa project, where I start wið smaller games of specific regions, and over þe time I merge games togeþer on larger maps and stuff. In every single on of þem, (17 at þe moment) I have to own a slot and take my turn, just because I need to keep track on what's happening. I know I could just not participate and just save þe link, but þat keeps þe danger þat I forget about þem, also I can't type in chat. On þe oþer side, when I take part in þe game on an isolated spot for example, people accuse me of making a game impossible to win, as I block myself wið 10000 armies to stay safe, and often þe maps don't allow me easily to sit in a spot, because þey are too small.

So I suggest a new "host mode", þat you can toggle on when you create a game, so þat you get þe reminder þat þe game is ready for a new turn, and also þat you can talk in chat wiðout owning a single territory. You wouldn't be possible to win in host mode, but you can observe easily and get reminded frequently. I ðink þere's a bunch of players who would welcome it, like Liechtensteiner and oþers who create unusual games, which need some external coordination.

Please tell me what you ðink about þis or what you would add.

you can chat if you're the host, even if you're not playing. (I think)

You could just join the game with an isolated territory, and then surrender first turn. Then have your current games shown at default setting, so it'll show games that have unread chat messages, even the ones you're not in. You still won't be notified about new turns, though I doubt that will ever change because there's literally no other conceivable reason to be notified about turns changing in a game you're no longer in.

Let the complain/accuse. In fact, tell them perhaps they aren't a good candidate for your games. If they can't see the purpose of it or don't trust you to act honourably in your games, they just shouldn't join them. As simple as that.

Do you need to pick small maps? If the maps you choose aren't conducive to this type of design, why choose that map at all? There are literally thousands to choose from, so just pick one that can accommodate everything you need from it.
