I guess it is time for me to chime in. Disrespect only motivates me. With all due respect to all of the other great players and competitors, and there are many, I have been the best player on the standard map in 2020. I'll just post ladder stats.

There are players that make great runs...20, or 25 games, and have a good rating in the beginning. I think that 20 matches is too few to rate, and raising that bar to 25 would fix a lot of problems with people have too high a rating too soon.

I have completed 76 matches. 69 wins and 7 losses for a 90 % winning perc. I have been number 1 almost the entire time with a rating between 2350 and 2450. But for those who think I "hardcore picked opps", lets analyze.

Who are the best ladder players? Pardon, AI, Octane? Played them all, beat them all (3-0). My lifetime ladder record against these three great players is 8 wins, 3 losses. Lets add in: Edge, ACLTears, Adreso, BZox, Kerekgyarto Zoltan, Summer, Hades, ADHDnl, Mr. Glass. I think these are the other players currently in or previously in the top 10 that I played against. I had 6 wins and 2 losses. So my record in these 76 matches against current or past top 10 players is 9 wins, 2 losses. In fact, more of my 7 losses were against lower rated players.

It's not even a question if I have been the most consistently dominant ladder player in 2020, but in history, not many other players have made this sustained of a run over this many games, at this rating. So disrespect all you want, stats speak for themselves.

there has been others holding 1st on the new 1v1 ladder longer than you.... over twice as long actull.... you did hold it for around 3 mounts, i would guess many have done that.

also the 1v1 ladder is one ladder, so to think you have been the most dominant ladder player in history without a question for you being 1st for around 90 days. in total..................................

You are indeed very consistent on the 1v1 ladder. I'd suggest giving the MTL a go; that's where your strength is really tested. Most of the players you mentioned compete over there and it's way tougher than the 1v1 ladder. Prove yourself before getting arrogant.

@Equivoque, your run has indeed been epic and anyone questioning it is either trolling, misinformed, or hating.

The legitimate criticism is the 1v1 ladder is all you have. There are far more grueling competitions on this site than the 1v1 ladder.

Example: Master of Desaster got to a rating of 2379 making only 3 picks per game. Along the way he beat 2100+ players schmidt, Octane, myself and Kaerox. He went 2-4 in CL A on the same map, making 6 picks every game.

Edit: Can confirm what Farah says that the MTL is much more challenging than the 1v1 ladder.

Equivogues message motivated me to join the ladder again to play my 3 pick games just to push him from first place.

I'd welcome it very much if the great magician would honor me with a matchup so i can outpick him.

Also i'm looking forward to my congratulation thread. First i didn't want to get ranked because i failed my run but now i expect a nice glorification of myself

@Equivoque: It's not a disrespect by any means that you are not in the top 10 of our lists. You are a great player, on MME, and we don't question that.
Point is that the 1v1 ladder is a just for fun competition for almost anyone of the top players that you mentioned. You do realize that players like MoD can be at 2400 on that ladder with just making 3 picks, if he tries. It is also just one template. If you want to be one of the best, you have to play well on more templates. For that, I recommend you to join the MTL and prove us wrong.

Should be nice create a group of 5/6 judge and every year try to make a rank to the best top 10 based on ladders, mdl and clan league for example. Also we have ekston’s competition. I think each judge have to be a expert player (for example MoD, Plat, Pardon, alexclusive, Rakleader can be a great 5 judges)

As a follow up, I appreciate all of the responses. I never tried to come across as arrogant, nor claim that I am directly "better" than someone else. I am polite and a sportsman in all of my matches and never stall.

NJord....you are right. Buns, Krystof, and many other greats have held the top spot a long time. My point was that I am doing it with a LOT of matches played, not just maintaining the minimum 20 or 25, that's all. And I did defend against a lot of the other top players.
Mr. Glass, Farah, AI: You are right. I don't have time for the MTL ladder. In fact, I have almost been ready to stop the 1 vs 1 ladder for a while, as I have other priorities in life and time spent on this game has to be limited. I just wanted to make a long, consistent run and show what I can do.
MOD: I know that you are one of the epic greats of all time.

That is why I can only talk about accomplishments on the MME.

A player who's supposedly the best at some point on a ladder wouldn't shrink back from a challenge and even lower the gamecount just to avoid a matchup

I mean, I don't think there's anyone doubting your skills on the 1v1 ladder. You showed you're in the absolute top for that template. If you don't have time for the MTL, maybe try clan league or AWP. You can limit your amount of games there
