This season, we will work extra hard to keep alts from joining. To clan leaders, if a player looks like he might be an alt, we will inquire about it. As master of desaster says, it is not very fair to Blitz to lose all their points, while The Turtles go unpunished. But we have to go by that in the end, because the leader of Blitz knew who desi was before the clan league. The Turtle on the otherhand, shoudl have realized Woohoo was an alt, but I don't think he did. But like Chris says, we will dicuss this further.
Both of these instances should have been caught before the season began, and that is our goal in future seasons. Also, this season, we will have a vote on the format of the clan league and the settings with all the clans that stay in Group A, along with all the clans that won their division: WG, Apex, WM, GG, 20, Lynx, AHOL/Master. More information will come soon.
I said it once and I will say it again: clan league should have a minimum game requirement. Something around 300. This alone would seriously reduce alt problems.
@chris: getting banned from the next clan league is no real punishment. the only thing that sucks is when your clan loses points. maybe that's not right for many alts, but you can't punish blitz and turtles not. if they let participate an (obvious) alt, it's their fault. if you handle it like that, everybody can just participate with an alt while the clan leaders don't admit anything. don't ask don't tell. and believe me, there are enough alt accounts that could easily participate on the clan league without looking suspicious.
But MoD volunteered the information that he told you and asked you if he thought it was right. Bannashakd it wouldn't have mattered. Btw Wohoo is an alt but the main has never seen the clan league so calm yo tits a bit.
Last comment here until the league gives a verdict. Anything else i say won't matter and will just piss yall off.
turtle already this post pissed me off :) you are either stupid and incredibly ignorant or you just try hardly to keep all points turtles earned. if it's second, you could just say it like that.
I'm torn on if we should just strip the points regardless of whether the clan leader knows it is an alt or not (I am just talking in general). Like Jefferspin said, otherwise leaders will just deny it. I see both sides of the issue.
1) How do you punish a clan if they did not know?
2) Is a 1 player ban really a large enough punishment?
I look at my clan. Suppose it was revealed one player had an alt in another clan during the league. I promise you I don't know this. But is simply suspending that player a season much of a punishment? Not really. On the other hand, should all of WG suffer for 1 person screwing up?
Maybe what we should do is also suspend the clan leader for the next season as well, so you lose two players in the next season. I don't know, but something has to be done to really discourage this.
I also think clan leaders MUST communicate the rules to their clan when forming their team. Clearly people are not paying attention to the rules.
