Middle-aged warlighter here, 2015. Too early to say old.

Joined Warzone: 12/7/2012 (I don't know if that means December '12 or July '12).

So, yes, I remember warlight.

I remember they restarted everything there, so did a lot of levelling back then (after my first hiatus).
And apparently they restarted it all again, I had to relevel a lot again (after my last, very long hiatus).

But since I was always able to recover my account, no issues there, I did not lose a single feature.

(restarted playing in Nov '19).

i don’t remember them ever resetting levels, but they did implement a leveling system a couple years into the game iirc

I was here about a year before warlight was transformed into warzone. I gotta say, warlight was kinda boring, but when it was transformed to warzone, i couldnt leave the game! and now im still here! im happy to be!

Not sure if i can be considered a part of the old players, since i joined 2013(9/3/2013). I started after 2 of my friends who had played since beta told me about the game. Back when we played 4 games with no autoboot. ohh dear 4 years later game was still active but 2 of my friends left the game(still active irl as friends) and i found out about the booting function.

Ohh dear poor players playing 7 games x 1 min boots with me ;3 I remember that the Warlight somehow as i understood it had rebooted the year prior into what i would think of as "Warlight 2", so for me Warzone is actually 3rd big game change. I was never rly active in forums though, as i did not know about anything else than open games and creating games.

Bought membership close to a year later(8/30/2014), around the same time i also bought Minecraft(some time before the real big hype began). I did remember getting invited to random clans which i deleted due not knowing what it meant to accept their invite(+ i was only playing real-time on my pc/computer during school breaks and on the bus on my way home).

Only two of my friends(out of 4) stayed in warlight until we all started at the upper highschool, where they slowly played less. Making me thinking id need some kind of community to have more fun, than playing alone. Thus i arrived at my first clan.

I was playing when it was warlight but I wasn't part of any clan. I was around for a a year or 2 before it became warzone i think, may be a bit more. So I'm not really an og or oldschool.

I'm still around, I don't recognize anyone's name anymore except for Fizzer of course. I'm part of the early 2009 crew back when the game ran on Silverlight. Feel free to invite me to a 1v1 if you'd like

I'm an old school warlighter that went on 2-3 accidental hiatuses when I joined tournaments (never let me join your tourney). Of course, I joined 2015 and mainly play through the open games section. I remember playing on strategic world land and ocean for map of the week, and I absolutely loved the 1300 AD map. I remember my first diplomacy was on the British Isles, without a scenario, and I became PE because I didn't know there were things like rules in diplomacy. After that, I have always been a hard-core diplomacy player. Right now my goal is to get to level 47 so I can release diplos with custom scenarios, though I probably won't get a membership to get mods. One of the games I made, Holy German Diplo, was one of the old, very rule-heavy diplos, but it was executed terribly. (due to my hiatuses) I think some of the players on that template probably appreciate the effort I put into the idea, but decided to do better, and probably made a game that is far better than what I was able to give them. My most recent heavily-used template is realms of Valara, a game of heavy fog running on a 70 turn card cycle and commerce, so far the games I released are all 13 player and every single one of them have gone splendidly. There's been five, but none of them are finished yet. When I came back to warlight after one of my hiatuses I was so confused that it was called warzone now, and I was like "where did warlight go?" the name initially turned me off. I do love what has happned to this game so far, though the map of the week selections are getting quite boring. I would like some changes to the map of the week template. Even still, this is the best psuedo-risk online out there and I love it.

I joined in 2015, but since I forgot my account password since I log out in 2016, I had to make a new account. I do not play warzone too much since I have many more things to do, but I still play warzone in the meantime. I can't be an old-school warzone player, but I have joined for a while now.
