Mobile, faster, what? Mobile is definitely not faster.
I do my very best to avoid playing on mobile. Desktop is far more user friendly.

I always use computer. Big screen for big maps, big enough keyboard for fast typing.

If you've only ever used mobile, how can you know of any speed difference?
Personally I prefer PC as there's a much bigger screen and hotkeys. This enables making turns and viewing history much faster and easier than mobile. Generally, I avoid mobile as the screen is smaller. Smaller size allows for more frequent misclicks.
For speed, that's depended on the hardware of your device. Generally PCs can process data faster due to having a superior CPU, GPU and RAM.
There isn't a significant speed difference (in terms of how fast and smoothly the app runs) between mobile and PC. The PC experience is overall better as nagivating the map is much easier. For example, you don't need to constantly zoom in or out to tap on territories to make sure you tapped the correct territory. Also, you don't need to swipe anywhere near as often as the whole map fits fine on a PC screen; in most cases you can't fit a map on mobile unless it's very far zoomed out, when it's zoomed out there's a much higher chance of tapping the incorrect territory so you'd need to zoom in.
Summary: PC is better.

I've used both mobile and PC. I only play multi-day games and then pretty much only diplos. I personally use only mobile now due to it being quicker and easier to pull up and use if I'm out somewhere. That's my two cents anyways.
