I would play both - mobile for taking turns and QM, computer for managing clan, forums and creating games. Only issue is, I don't have a computer atm. 😉

Mobile, faster, what? Mobile is definitely not faster.

I do my very best to avoid playing on mobile. Desktop is far more user friendly.

I use mobile for fast picking, the coin wheel, and occasionally for QM. The rest I do on my laptop, cause mobile lacks lots of functions.

I am very curious I wonder if a mod or fizzer know the answer

My guess is mobile is much more popular because it is so easily accessible

I always use computer. Big screen for big maps, big enough keyboard for fast typing.

It's so much more easier to access and also quiet a lot faster to play. Xiaomi and Snapdragon, thank you.

If you've only ever used mobile, how can you know of any speed difference?

Personally I prefer PC as there's a much bigger screen and hotkeys. This enables making turns and viewing history much faster and easier than mobile.
Generally, I avoid mobile as the screen is smaller. Smaller size allows for more frequent misclicks.

For speed, that's depended on the hardware of your device. Generally PCs can process data faster due to having a superior CPU, GPU and RAM.

There isn't a significant speed difference (in terms of how fast and smoothly the app runs) between mobile and PC. The PC experience is overall better as nagivating the map is much easier. For example, you don't need to constantly zoom in or out to tap on territories to make sure you tapped the correct territory. Also, you don't need to swipe anywhere near as often as the whole map fits fine on a PC screen; in most cases you can't fit a map on mobile unless it's very far zoomed out, when it's zoomed out there's a much higher chance of tapping the incorrect territory so you'd need to zoom in.

Summary: PC is better.

I've used both mobile and PC. I only play multi-day games and then pretty much only diplos. I personally use only mobile now due to it being quicker and easier to pull up and use if I'm out somewhere. That's my two cents anyways.

To break it down. It all depends on what you are used to play with. I once played on computer and it was a really strange/ new feeling.
The whole taping and swiping process on mobile devices is subconscious. Besides hardware I am still faster. It's even better for me cause on large maps like North America you can overlook the situation, than zoom in and do your work on those seperatet areas. Large maps are usually not very strategic. You just need to do your work on separated areas.

The best device is the device you are the most confident with.

I play on mostly touchscreen laptop. It is a new computer, so obviously faster than mobile. I find mobile with frequent misclicks and too small of a screen

I use a tablet to play - the screen is big enough and since I mostly play multi-day games I can bring the WZ app up for 5 minutes, play my turns and then get on with real life. No need to fire up the laptop for that. Besides my laptop's GPU is not up to the job anyway.

Downside is - yes no keyboard and no hot keys and occasional (and most of the time game burying) mistaps. Suggestion: there could be - beside the info, deploy and attacks/transfer - a precommit faze button just like there is if you play through the website. Also writing something on team chat with virtual keyboard is not quite easy. These are not complaints - except perhaps the precommit button.

For everything else I use my laptop.

Good point, except that I can literally turn my computer on, open the browser, navigate to the site, and open a game as fast as you can take your phone out of your pocket, unlock it, open the app, and open a game.

Computers start up in 5-10 seconds if they aren't a potato.
