To break it down. It all depends on what you are used to play with. I once played on computer and it was a really strange/ new feeling.
The whole taping and swiping process on mobile devices is subconscious. Besides hardware I am still faster. It's even better for me cause on large maps like North America you can overlook the situation, than zoom in and do your work on those seperatet areas. Large maps are usually not very strategic. You just need to do your work on separated areas.

The best device is the device you are the most confident with.

I play on mostly touchscreen laptop. It is a new computer, so obviously faster than mobile. I find mobile with frequent misclicks and too small of a screen

I'm generally a mobile player. I love the "next game" button on the desktop however. Both have their ups and downs.

I use a tablet to play - the screen is big enough and since I mostly play multi-day games I can bring the WZ app up for 5 minutes, play my turns and then get on with real life. No need to fire up the laptop for that. Besides my laptop's GPU is not up to the job anyway.

Downside is - yes no keyboard and no hot keys and occasional (and most of the time game burying) mistaps. Suggestion: there could be - beside the info, deploy and attacks/transfer - a precommit faze button just like there is if you play through the website. Also writing something on team chat with virtual keyboard is not quite easy. These are not complaints - except perhaps the precommit button.

For everything else I use my laptop.

Good point, except that I can literally turn my computer on, open the browser, navigate to the site, and open a game as fast as you can take your phone out of your pocket, unlock it, open the app, and open a game.

Computers start up in 5-10 seconds if they aren't a potato.
