@"Isshin, the Sword Saint" "Sexism is much more a systemic part of our country than racism is" care to elaborate? At least in my corner of the country and from my view point men seem to be systematically disadvantaged more often then women (my corner is admittedly an extremely left leaning university.) At my university woman are offered a considerable amount more services, resources, scholarships, protections, can gain entry into the university easier, and garner more administrative attention than men. Allegations of sexism against men are simply ignored, or laughed off by the administration (I have personal experience with this.) Looking outward woman are considered a protected status in the US, giving them much more power in the workplace after they get a job. Woman are given certain rights that men are not (like maternity leave), woman don't need to be registered for the draft, the courts are horribly biased against men, and our elementary schools are designed to teach little girls. The list of systemic cases of quantifiable sexism against men in the US goes on and on.

Now I am not saying there aren't people who are sexist against woman. But the trope of systematic sexism that is being constantly vomited by gender studies departments and third (maybe 4th) wave feminism is kinda wearing thin at this point. It relies on a whole host of assumptions about social power dynamics that predisposes the conclusion of rampant sexism and doesn't align with reality. Are you able to point out cases of systemic sexism against woman?

If a white person calls a black person a nigga, or a nigger, it's seen as a major faux pas, and can end their career if they are in a position of power. Meanwhile calling a woman a bitch is much more widely tolerated and considered a trivial offense.

Isn't bitch the equivalent of calling a guy a dick? Even then it is an insult used towards a man as well. It's not even comparable to the n-word in my opinion.

nothing is worse than a white person using the n word in america. but calling a woman a bitch would still end a lot of careers. donald trump might be able to get away with it because we're desensitized to his shitty behavior but bernie sanders would be done if he did it or a lot of CEO's and others. you can't do that in 2019.

bernie, beto or kamala?

Checking in on the OP.

Bernie: Recently unequivocally advocated for the Boston Bomber to vote while in jail.

Kamala: Recently quivocally advocated for the Boston Bomber to vote while in jail, then backed off because she doesn't have a spine or a place in this farce (oops, I misspelled race.)

Beto: From Politico: The big idea? Beto doesn’t have one.
"One month in, the central thrust of O’Rourke’s presidential campaign appears to be interacting with crowds."

Oh, and Pence is still the VP.

Way to pick the winners there soothsayer Wally.

First, systemic racism only exists opposite as to what you think.

The most blatant form of systemic racism is Affirmative Action.

Otherwise, there is no facially racist laws.

Was Jim Crow/ Slavery / etc. wrong? Yes. But correcting a past wrong by implementing more wrongs only makes the problems worse.

Let people that have no respect for life or law participate in the law making process? No, sir.

@Japanball thats not a good argument. Trying to draw causation from a correlation between testosterone levels and crime rates is kinda grasping at straws (not too mention it is a blatantly false claim https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/92/7/2519/2598282 ). There are simply too many confounding variables to be able to design any statistical test to even suggest that. Than any argument about average intelligence is nonsense because there is no good way to measure intelligence. As there is no good way to define intelligence in a way that is narrow enough to measure. I would imagine that a much more persuasive argument about why black people tend to earn less would somehow involve social and and economic arguments. Black people tend to attend worse schools and receive worse educations (at least in the US), they more often come from broken homes, black families more often are stuck in poverty cycles. There are plenty of reasonable and more persuasive explanations that don't involve just making racist claims saying black people are just inherently more violent and stupid as your comment implies.
