I understand that different people will be happy with different speeds, so this is just my opinion. The shorter turns in quickmatch games aren't fun for me. I prefer a more chess-like game with time to consider options.
It'd be great if players could set min/max turn lengths to be matched up with like-minded players. I just don't think I'll play quickmatch games any more with it the way it is.
The 1 minute +2 banked thing on QM currently is awful. I've only played 10 games and "booted" in like 3 of them. Not literal boots due to the way boots now work, it just forced me to instantly commit, but it's still shitty. 1 minute is not long enough to properly think about turns strategically.
Play fast when you're in games with a fast clock. I am going the other way here, 3 days is way way way too long for tournaments and the multiday ladder and everything else. But I abide, because those are the rules. And I personally love the quick match clock. It's awesome, the games are actually played!
If you don't like Quick matches, I'd genuinely suggest not playing quick matches.

That was my whole point though - I loved Quick Matches, that's all I ever played. They're just too quick now and I don't enjoy it any more.
That said, I didn't actually realize until now that different template have different time limits. I always preferred the small maps but I see that some larger maps have longer time limits. I'll probably play those some times. It'd be even better if we have longer time versions of the small Earth maps though.
Thank you to everyone for taking time to share your opinions!
