You could create the new games when the main tourney creates the "dead" one between the two clans, then just surrender both when you're done.

Unfortunately, even though that makes too much sense, it will require some maintenance from the teams and drama will ensue if one team boots the "dead" game and the team that didn't make any subs ends up with a 3rd game at one time.

While I agree that creating the games when the main tourney creates the "dead" ones is the most logical way to go, I know myself and will forget to check the tourneys with substitutions. Therefore, I'll create all the games at once and expect the clans participating to make sure they're finished in reasonable time. Keep in mind that there's no 3 day join limit or something like that for these games. If clans refuse to join them and the end of the season is nearing, I'll send them a mail with a deadline.

I don't see a solution to avoid a scenario in which the opponent team gets 3 games at once. If you're create all games at once then ofc Stats FE team would even play 4 at once. Even if that scenario isn't perfect, as long as nobody has an easier/better solution it is what it is.

What might work is that the opponent team avoids to play the 3rd game they get in the original tournament and just create the rest of their games manually, after one of their next is done to stay on the same game count of 2 games at a time at most. That probably ends up in creating all future games of that clan manually in that specific tournament, but so be it.

I don't think the organizer should take that extra workload then, but rather the involved player/the player or team asking for it.

If that would be an option that we could chose instead of playing 3 at once than i personally would favour such a scenario, especially if that adds up to 6 due to substitutions in the other team tournaments i'm playing. Obviously i have to tell the opponent that i'm planning to doing that and obviously i have to create them in a reasonable time after one of the 2 games has finished otherwise i would lose those games. And obviously i have to inform the opponent in the game chat of the created game that it's the CL game they need to join. I would need to post that link here and/or give it to the organizer to post it here so it can be checked if that opponent is joining the game. Basically u will just need to arrange something with the opponent team and that should be possible, right.

And as i said that would be just an individual option the players of one team can choose from if they don't want to playing more than 2 games at once in that tournament. If a team isn't asking for it than they just get the standard creation by the organizer, risking that they get 3 on more games at once.

They won't play 4 games if they don't join them all at the same time. As long as the games are finished before the season's ended, they can spread their joining times.

What might work is that the opponent team avoids to play the 3rd game they get in the original tournament and just create the rest of their games manually, after one of their next is done to stay on the same game count of 2 games at a time at most. That probably ends up in creating all future games of that clan manually in that specific tournament, but so be it.

Creating all their games manually once is annoying. Checking every subbed team's tournaments all the time to see if a game needs to be created is something i'm not gonna do. And since i create the substitutions, i'd say that option is off of the table.

I don't think the organizer should take that extra workload then, but rather the involved player/the player or team asking for it.

If you're saying the players should create the substitution games themselves, then no. First of all I'd probably lose track of the scores during the season. Second of all, it's easy to cheat this.

While this may lead to some teams having to play three games at once, even if they didn't make a substitution, this is the most reasonable option from my point of view, as i have to keep track of everything.

Ah, then i misunderstood. If the teams involved notify me, then yeah. That would work. The question is what happens when teams don't notify me. Not sure what you mean with that last comment, i'm just trying to make this go smoothly without having to go through a set of tournament everyday.

That's what i meant. If i would have the choice between playing a 3rd game, so a 5th team game essentially at the same time or beeing responsible for organizing to create it on my own to keep the game count at 2 games at once, than i'm rather choosing the last option. Obviously i would notify you or post it here in the thread and communicate it to the opponent team in both games, the one i create and the original one in the tournament. I didn't thought about the possibility of cheating. You or likely we all have to check every little detail, but on the other hand i think it would be seen by the opponents if something works different than in the other games, so i hope that wouldn't become a problem or a time intense task to check every little detail of that game. But i can see that as a potential problem.

[2-0]Statisticians	Jackie Treehorn
[1-0]SNinja Max
[1-4]Lynx Jo Jo
[0-5]M'Hunters	TBest

Games completed since last update:

Max (SNinja) defeats TBest (M'Hunters)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17854001
TBest gets himself in a sticky situation after picks. He gets a big part of his picks in island bonuses which won't help him in the long run. Meanwhile, Max is clustered in the center and lands some good early income combo's. After Max gets his initial advantage from those, it's hard for TBest to make a comeback. He ends it in style by booting on turn 5.

Jackie Treehorn (Stats) defeats Jo Jo (Lynx)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17853996
While Jackie and Jo Jo fluctuate around the same income, Jackie takes an advantageous position on turn 2, taking a double border to Nigerian Lowlands and a double border on Horn of Africa the turn after. While both are still pretty much on the same income, Jackie can slowly start to snoop bits of Jo Jo's income away and take them as his own. Jo Jo is basically lost after turn 5. It's good it didn't take him another 6 to surrender. Oh wait.

Jackie Treehorn (Stats) defeats Muli (ONE!)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17853995
First of all, I'm starting a personal vendetta against people playing with Smoky Black on maps where the background is also black. Just wait until someone makes a map where everything is Royal Blue.
Anyways, on to the game. This is a game where 14th pick is going to cost you. It cost Muli. But on turn 1, Jackie doesn't move in Madagascar, letting Muli get to 9 income while he gets only 8. Muli is looking to smash High Plateau, but gets eliminated there on turn 4. This opens up the game again; Jackie is behind on income, but suddenly has an advantage longterm. When Muli finds his opponent in West Sudanian Savanna, he smashes him hard. This leaves Jackie with the opportunity to do some serious pressuring in Madagascar. He secures it and from there he can play it out. Very nice game to watch.

[WG] Reza (WG) defeats TBest (M'Hunters)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17928156
Did TBest think that Lower Guinean Forest was a Forest? Because it isn't. It's a Jungle and Swamps bonus. This pick leads TBest to a staggering 0 income on the first turn. Reza's two Mountain combo's get him to 11 income after the first turn, allowing him to pressure TBest quite a bit. Especially since Reza decides to grab Comores instead of moving in Madagascar. TBest can't hold it and has to expand. So Reza breaks it and now TBest has to expand even more. The problem is, Reza counters him in High Plateau. After that horrendous turn for TBest, he gets eliminated in Eastern Highlands and it's over.

[WG] Reza (WG) defeats Jo Jo (Lynx)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=18109557
Jo Jo boots out of the game on picks. Well played.

Muli (ONE!) defeats Jo Jo (Lynx)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17853997
An interesting picking strategy by Jo Jo, triple picking a Desert to abstain from low income on turn 1. Unfortunately for him, this leaves Muli with some sweet combo's. And while both go pretty even on income, Muli has an income advantage on turn 3. Muli uses his momentum to his fullest advantage and takes Eastern Arc Mountains with a stack. Jo Jo completes his Maghreb bonus in the meantime, getting him a bunch of income. While they fight around in the southeast, Jo Jo tries to sneakily take two territories in Muli's Swamp bonus. Which backfires, as he only gets one territory for -3 income. He also gets his Madagascar broken, resulting in another -2. It ends up 16-8 in terms of income and Muli wins the game.

Muli (ONE!) defeats TBest (M'Hunters)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=18089967
Both Muli and TBest cluster around Root of Africa. TBest chooses to blockade there, but gets outpredicted. He eliminates Muli in the East African Rift, but sees himself overpowered when Muli breaks his blockade on turn 2. A fast game indeed.

Bonsai (Outlaws) defeats Jo Jo (Lynx)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=18109558
Jo Jo boots on picks again. Stealing my style.

Bonsai (Outlaws) defeats [WG] Reza
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17928157
Reza has a bad first turn, investing a lot in a counter, but blockading near three of Bonsai's picks in the South, leaving Bonsai with safe income there. Safety is key here, as Reza's income isn't far away from Bonsai. Bonsai keeps his initial momentum by pressuring Reza's counter out of there. Reza starts to expand as he gets eliminated from his position near Bonsai, but to no avail; Bonsai keeps the income and positional advantage. Reza gets overrun by a 24-income Bonsai and it's done.

[0-2]M'Hunters	georgie

Games finished since last update:

Math Wolf (Stats) defeats georgie
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17997979
M'Hunters manage to put someone on Strat ME 0%WR that doesn't understand how WR affects the game. Awesome. This was a pain to watch. georgie decides to go for the Ant combo and take it in the worst way possible. 8 to South Pole and 3 to Scott. And a 3v2 in EC which he somehow picked. Math wolf takes the gamble on being able to complete SA with a single pick in two turns and leaves Scan and SEA unmoved (for card pieces?).
The next turn is where the true power of M'Hunters' decisions show. georgie decides that to take a 1, you need to attack with at least 3. If he didn't do that, he could've guaranteed a territory in EC, but hey, let's not make it ourselves easy. Math Wolf, in the meantime, does indeed get SA with a single pick and is now facing Antarctica.
Next turn. Let's hope georgie learnt how to take a 1. Nope, he still figures he needs at least 3 to take a 1. Well, at least he'll complete EC next turn to put some pressure on Math Wolf.
And so he does. On turn 4, georgie completes EC, but wait. What is he doing in Ant? He's tapping Math Wolf... The turn after, georgie breaks SEA, but Math Wolf breaks Ant. The game is over at this point, as georgie is never going have safe income and Math Wolf still has SA and eventually Scan uncontested. Truly the worst game I've watched this season. Can't wait for more!

Krzysztof (Outlaws) defeats Beren (ONE!)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17997977
This game is fairly normal until turn 4. Beren is ahead in income, but lacking behind in stack wars. Somehow he goes into WC. Not only is WC doubly wastelanded, Beren can see those wastelands. So he must've had some motive with that move, i just can't figure it out for the life of me. After they meet in Indonesia, Krzysztof takes out SA, scaring Beren into taking Venezuela with a stack. However, Krzysztof moves his stack back to WA to complete his bonus and grab a major income advantage. After one more turn of stacking and Beren not finding Krzysztof in CR, it's over. I was properly weirded out by this move by Beren, but maybe he thought Krzysztof was in CR.

Krzysztof (Outlaws) defeats almosttricky (SNinja)
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=18099332
Krzysztof focuses his picks on the ftb and the CR combo after that. This turns out to be a huge advantage against tricky's single-pick three-bonuses. They both complete a single-pick three-bonus on turn 2, but Krzysztof can complete his combo on CR next turn, while tricky stacks. Tricky now tries to complete SA, but tries two 3v2's, of which one fails. Krzysztof meanwhile completes WR and breaks SA the turn afterwards, leaving tricky with 8 income while having 12 himself.

almosttricky (SNinja) defeats georgie
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=18042422
For a fun experiment, I asked a friend who has played a grand total of 8 games on this template to judge georgie's picks. He immediately found the flaw. Why pick ER, a random inefficient bonus, as 4. There are so many better picks on the board. I won't go into further detail myself, as that should explain everything. What follows is just tricky playing a way better position out. Tricky wins, obviously. An anonymous source said "This is worse than what I expect in division D"

https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=17994542
While le Mars is stalling Chris and Hunta, Bbraw is looking at grabbing a ton of income. While the WG team has some smaller bonuses for safety: a 1-bonus and some 2's, Bbraw has a safe 3 and a safe 5 and he also predicts Chris in his other 3 to get a grand total of 16 income. At this point, the Lynx team is leading and Chris gets outpredicted a second time. le Mars is fighting his way to the safe WG income while Bbraw is just casually demolishing the rest. After this first big update, the scores look as follows:

  • Outlaws has the best start. Bonsai goes 3-0 in Elitist Africa and Krzysztof lands a 2-0 in Strat ME. They suffer no losses and take first for now.

  • Statisticians have a nice start as well. Jackie Treehorn grabs two wins in Elitist Africa and Math Wolf gets a win in Strat ME. Without any losses, they take second place

  • SNinja gets a win on Elitist Africa and a win on Strat ME, but also a loss on Strat ME. Their start is still good enough for third place though.

  • Lynx wins 3 and loses 3. They secure a 3v3 europe win though, which is good for them. If Jo Jo didn't boot twice, they would've been in competition for the podium, but it's early in the season; everything can (and will) change.

  • WG wins two games and loses two games. Nothing to see here, really.

  • ONE! has a losing track record so far, winning two games, but losing three. Time for Beren to show some muskles.

  • Talk about a bad week. M'Hunters fail to win a single game, but lose 7. TBest is looking at a last place in Elitist Africa and if georgie continues playing like he does, it'll be a last place in Strat ME as well. Come on guys, why aren't you upsetting this division as promised?
