I don't like it. It only adds more bureaucracy to the table and because each member has different regulations on privacay, is making things much complex. It's unfortunate to see my nation privacay laws get overruled by this one.

isnt the EU law the most strict ? ..or is the belgian even more strict?

i mean ..my question is: is warlight ready for those new laws? ..if not they could face serious problems.

Given that you posed this in general, I assume you wonder how these new rules will affect wz.

Nada? WZ don't really collect any privacy information, except IP and email. And those can easily be covered by the legitimate interest clause I think. I suppose you could email wz now, and request that they send you the information that they have on you.

The rules as a whole might impact add's online, but hard to see if and how this would impact wz.

Already covered? Might have to change it to 18?

Oh, and I almost forgot.

I believe the age cutoff for minors is 16 under this law. The other thing that I'm curious about is the new requirement that it should be just as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it in the first place. You can't exactly delete a Warzone account, and so this site always has your e-mail- but does that matter?

I don't see a lot of small sites freaking out about this. It seems to be more targeted at the advertising side of things.
