In an elitist game where nobody greeted the other team, Xenophon ends up with the position to counter both timon and Rento. On turn 3, Xenophon stacks towards their income and breaks it the turn afterwards. Meanwhile, master of desaster is sitting safe in his corner in the southeast, while timon and Rento try to protect their safespace in the West. Unfortunately for them, master of desaster predicts timon correctly and MoD also breaks the blockade next to Rento's Krepeli to threaten everything. Xeno is pushing for the elimination of Rento in Huhomi and Nihola. He ends up breaking Liheke. The game ends on turn 9, with Masters winning one of the key games this end-season.

M'Hunters see all their picks except for one challenged immediately. Their Western Balkans combo gets spoiled by Platinum, their Iceland gets spoiled by Odin and Belarus + Finland get spoiled by Platinum's Baltic states. So they opt for pushing Platinum out of Hungary, with little succes. Meanwhile, Odin and Platinum complete their first bonuses. And Odin succeeds in making Norway safe; hobo completes West Central Russia, but they need to grab some more income or they won't survive for long. A few turns later, hobo completes Slovakia. But it comes at a cost: his West Central Russia is now threatened by a big stack. Iceland gets eliminated and the stack advantage in the Balkans is completely lost. However, next turn they manage to eliminate Plat from the Balkans and start expanding there. Platinum is killing off Russia though and takes Belarus while Odin takes over in the center. Platinum manages to eliminate all of Russia and stack towards the center, while completing Finland, Northwestern Russia and Baltic states. The game is now over; M'Hunters realizes the same two turns later and surrenders.

Another key-game for the podium spot. 90 and Juan triple-pick Poland, while Timinator and Xenophon get key positions in Portugal, Norway and Austria. 90 goes for Western Russia, but Xenophon has the counter to it and also takes his Portugal bonus. Meanwhile, Juan has taken Poland and sits at 10 income. However, on turn 3, Juan shows his Poland card and Timinator gets to 10 income with a tap from Xenophon. Xenophon also breaks Western Russia and his Portugal remains uncontested. On turn 4 we see Timinator eliminating a busy 90 from UK and the fight in Russia continues. Xenophon lets himself get eliminated in Western Russia, but takes Karelia to pressure it again. Also, Juan is now in Western Russia with a stack instead of 90, so the bonus isn't retaken yet. As Xenophon stays alive in Russia, Timinator expands and stacks towards Poland. He breaks it the turn after and Juan is desperately looking for income, now preparing Eastern Balkans. Timi counts and he knows; he stacks towards Croatia and his stack in Poland ravages on towards Russia. 90 pressures Portugal, since he can't do much else anymore, but Masters' position is too safe to lose. Masters wins another key game in the fight for first place. Congratulations Timinator and Xenophon.

Nack boots turn 1, but takes back on turn 2. The AI managse to get his first turn Slovakia anyways, so the damage is not too bad. Nackickwind sees his Slovakia being threatened by Poland at turn 3, but keeps predicting correctly. In the meantime, Buns has taken Ire, Ice and UK. Memele is expanding bigtime in Russia with Southwestern Russia and West Central Russia. He also takes Eastern Balkans. FiveStarGeneral has Belarus and is trying to break Slovakia with little succes. An incredible predict or an incredibly passive play (depending on perspective) lets Nackickwind keep both Austria an Slovakia while being faced by two different players with a total of 8 income more and a stack advantage. And 4 borders. Go nack! Buns is impressed and has to 1-up Nack so he predicts FiveStarGeneral in Spain the turn after. He also stacks towards Russia with a rather humungous stack. Buns finishes the game in style, getting absolutely hammered by the alcohol and creating an accidental rematch. Well done Buns, you Brit. Well done.

Yes, m'ladies, Masters has officially won Clan League 10

• Masters wins 2 2v2's, netting them 8 points this week. They end up on the top, where they apparently belong, winning CL and all.
  
• ONE! has a score of 2-1, winning a 3v3 and a 2v2, but losing a 2v2. They get 9 points and lose 4 max points.
  
• Outlaws wins a 2v2, getting them 4 points
  
• VS wins a 2v2 and loses a 2v2. They go even this week
  
• GG wins a 3v3 and loses a 3v3. Along with VS, they have an even week.
  
• Lynx gets their arses whooped this week, losing 2 2v2's and a 3v3, winning nothing. They lose 13 max points.
  

The Battle for Gold
The first battle has been decided! Masters takes the victory and has officially won Clan League 10. A big congratulations to them! It was a tough season and it turned out to be a way closer battle than anyone could've expected.
Lynx has a bad week and throws first place away. However, they are still in second place and nobody can take that away anymore. Congratulations on getting the second place in Clan League 10!

The Battle for Bronze
With Outlaws being in the lead in Total Points and Max Points, victory closes in for them. However, it's not over yet. ONE! has to win their remaining two games while Outlaws lose one and ONE! takes over. With both clans on only two games remaining, this battle is going down to their last games. Literally, their last. Now that the battle for first is settled, it'll be exciting to see who takes that last podium spot.

The battle for A
This one's interesting as well. GG is leading in total points, but they have only one game remaining. Meanwhile, M'Hunters are only two points behind GG and have an astonishing 5 games remaining. If M'Hunters doesn't choke completely during the end-season, they should have this one in the bag. Just win 2 games out of the 5 remaining and that should settle it.



So. The first place has been decided. Masters have won. Their celebratory underwear can still be purchased. Now that the gold has been decided, it's time to announce this season's MVP.

Also, i think now is the time to thank some people.

First of all, we need to thank Deadman and Beren for organizing this league and programming the CLOT. It's been a massive amount of work and appreciation is not often shown; the amount of work you put in is amazing and beyond what anyone should've expected. And the amount of sh*t you sometimes get from the community doesn't accurately reflect that. I think i speak for all when i say "Thank you".

Second of all is everyone concerned with organizing the league in the future, as Deadman and Beren will stop organizing. I will exclude the ethics panel of my 'thank you's' for now until they've decided not to ban me :)

And last of all is all the players who participated and made the season great. If it wasn't for the awesome end-game this season, I should've taken the Bonsai path out a long time ago.

Congratulations Masters, even with Timi's boots you've managed to win CL with a game to spare. It's undeniable your clan is a skill's level ahead of the rest.

What I've been thinking of setting up in an All-star event for the end of CL.

It would be essentially the winning clan Master's having their line-up against the rest of the league! So essentially every tournament winner or clan that finished 2nd in Division A playing against Masters originally line-up in a head to head battle of 40 points with CL score system.

Could be a fun "pre-season" event. We need more of these for clans to adequately prepare for CL11!
