Dear Warlight,

I am taking a leave of absence (permanently) because I have lost my desire to play this game. This can single-handedly be attributed to the behavior of a fellow Warlight member who goes by DRC: https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=3530572564. In this game (https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=14723597), through both the private and public forums, he has needlessly insulted me and thrown derogatory terms at me. When I first started playing Warlight, it was because I thought such a platform would offer me a haven where I could test my skills out and make good online relationships with other players. In essence, I was able to make many good friends over the course of these years. But in the past couple of weeks, I have found that not all members of this community can be enlightening or approachable. DRC’s behavior has been beyond despicable and I no longer wish to play Warlight/Warzone as a result.

Thank you to all those who mentored me and those who were good friends. I also plan to

give this account away so please contact me within the next week so I can arrange that process. It will be dealt to a person who can communicate what he/she plans to do with the account and also follows Warlight’s conduct on people with multiple accounts.

Give me your account. I'll use a VPN with a Connecticut IP and do my best to impersonate you. Then I'll log in as you and respond to this thread saying you ultimately decided to just blacklist DRC and keep playing.

Bayern Munchern is the Best! hated my guts (I think he still does), and loved to call me a "terrorist" "terrorist lover" and so on. But did that stop me from playing? Hell no.

I think letting a single player dictate your actions is an overreaction. Report, Blacklist, Move on. There is far more good than bad in this community. Its core is international, friendly, and mature.

@Frostweaver You can't expect to play any game in life without playing with/against a "DRC" type player. You are playing a bloody Diplomacy game and part of Diplomacy is resolving conflict. Conflict is part of the game, I'm not saying what DRC is correct. But you can't be surprised when you meet these type of players, If you really want to be playing in a "safezone" type of game where you won't get insulted ever. I would recommend downloading a Peppa Pig app with Flappy Bird as a back-up because what you are expecting from a multi-player game is unrealistic, If you are playing for the magic of playing with others expect to get a few scumbags along the way.

Instead of removing your account, report DCR , I guarentee he will get a warning and won't insult you again (If he does, he will get banned) so why not Report? If you are really willing to quit a game over 1 person, you have serious problems elsewhere.

I do. I'm having problems at home and this incident was simply the catalyst for it. I looked to Warlight as somewhere where I could play games in peace without the constant distractions at home. DRC ruined that for me. And yes, I did report him.

And yes, I'll probably give the account to DanWL or to knyte. I'll just wait until the end of this week most likely to see where interest is garnering and give it to the most deserving one. The only condition I would make for the new owner of this account is to wipe out DRC in the game I am currently in with him.

On a serious note, I know there's a ton of turds on this site and people haven't been supportive to you even on this thread but there are some real nice people on this site (including Fizzer himself).

Whatever challenges you're going through in your life, I hope you overcome them soon and, well, if you need some nice people to talk to on this site, I'm kind of an asshole but I know a few people on this site that aren't. Give this place another chance and amidst all the distractions you'll be able to some refuges from the toxicity- and since it's the internet, you can pretty much just pretend that the 99% of remaining users don't exist.

I think it was bound to happen with this many people and all the boots. The only wrongs I can see from DRC is hijacking the role of Game Manager by declaring (falsely) a PE and making threats with blacklist + inviting others to join in the blacklisting.

Seems like the whole situation is kind of silly.

This guy who you're quitting the game over doesn't seem to even be an active player. He earns 0 ppm, made his account in 2014 (same year I did) and has only played 733 games, so you'd be essentially leaving this great game over some random bully diplo player who rarely even touches the game.

Some players are rude. The majority of players on WL/WZ however are pretty respectful. I think it's best to handle the situation by ignoring those negative people, blacklisting them, reporting them, and moving on.
