Stats are not a good depiction of my skill. You want to see my skill, invite me to a fucking game. I've surrendered to a lot of friends, and people needing xp. Also, I wouldn't expect anyone except.maybe hauptman to understand about roleplaying games between clans. They're FAR different than the bull on open games. Fill the game with dedicated roleplayers, then you can see how competitive it is.

Haaaaiii!

I know RP games are competitive, especially when they're filled with dedicated players, but 1/3 of WarLight's players?

RP is an important aspect of WarLight, BUT! they're not very present on the forums AND! they tend to stick to their own communities, i.e. they seldom advertise games. There aren't many skilled players that are actively pursuing RP games or at least it's not well known (maybe I'm just living under a rock). The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Miyagi, General Mac and Apollo.

On that note, why not just make your own list for RP players and have it added here??

Someone make a generation list for trolls, the forums have been rather lively again and I think some players deserve honorable mentions :D

I was considering it. And a third is a rough estimate, but definitely big enough to be note-worthy. Only reason we rarely comment is because there's usually no roleplay threads. So we stick to clan forums and game chat.

I'm speaking up, because I believe that roleplay has become a larger part than most of you think. Plus, I'm tired of hearing from ladder elitists.

" But what i have seen was just a bunch of people who can't play very good, playing a game where only a small portion of players is role-playing. The rest just wanted to win it.. just like any other game.."

Truest statement about warlight role play ever.

As someone who was in {rp} for a long time, I would say the majority of roleplaying games are garbage which was why {rp} had trouble recruiting for a long time. Also most 'roleplaying' games aren't even close to the 'dimoplacy' played regularly in the open games. They're much more intuitive and I remember making a template for {rp} took me 3 days, but was perhaps one of the most enjoyable games I had. I get that you're proud of your niche, but not even mentioning General Mac, Discord, or Hammer when talking about roleplaying.. when they've made half of the templates you play on and stole, then modified to make what is now the 'norm' roleplaying game played is disrespectful.

AND, Rp is so closed off from the roleplay community. Its impossible to tell what's going on. UN is just filled with drama. Haven't heard anything from Mongols.

Mongols does nothing. Chemlaka and I are the only ones to every contribute. Our leader is no longer active and out of about eight if us. Three are active. Chemlaka, Lowman, and I. I'm actually searching for an {rp} clan that would take me since our clan is basically dead.

I've seen nothing orginal from the man or any other clan except {rp} nothing but the sphere of influence game is used by UN and such...I stay very private with my role-playing. Mainly because of the open games and UN/Mongols as I don't trust them not to boot. I take every chance when added to an {rp} because there very unique and enjoyable games.

Other than {rp} I do try to make my very own unique games and have developed a reasonable big sized rp invite list of trusted players. With a few successful games over the past years. With fully unique and interesting rules.

1/3 of warlight isn't rp, realistically 1/4. Their are lots of private rpg's that go on unheard, as it's not a major part of the game. Just one of the most fun and interesting.

Yuri, if you're serious about roleplaying, I'll invite you to corp. Fairly new, very improved (from the bull of UN). We take our roleplay serious, but have friendly games too. We screen for trolls and such.

Some of the "old guard" feel pretty "new" to me.

Maybe dive deeper: Blue Precision, NuckLuck, Duke, Doushibag, Ruthless, Gaia, Waya, Troll, Fizzer himself: that's the real old guard (only one you got from them is The Impaller)

{rp} closed themselves off from the 'roleplay community' because they can't roleplay.

Thank you, but I cannot accept. Nebs has been inactive and so Chem has been installed as head of the clan. Changes will be made. [Mongols] will be fine we are restarting our original momentum and growth.

@Apollo, our clan has strict rules on hooting. If a player from our clan has booted please mail one of the generals (Khans) immediately. They will be dealt with.

ALSO I would like to officially differentiate between a role play and a Diplo.
Role play- harder concept, requires tact, knowledge of politics, eloquent speech skills, and being able to immerse yourself in character.

DIPLO- requires little skill, usually just enough to act as a leader and make and keep track of allies and enemies. Takes a few hours, rarely multiday.

Yuri has it spot on. Many people confuse the two. {rp} predates the current ´rp´ craze and has little interaction with it due to very little similarities between us.

I think after people started using our templates with open games, newer folk saw the tag and assumed it was just a general term for games like that (which are obviously different with open seats).

Thank you Discord.

Also the Mongols Clan has changed leadership. A new council of three has been established with Chemlaka, his_Sultaness, and Myself as the council. The clan is going through a period of reorganization. I am the new Clan Forum Rep and coordinator. I ask that the {rp} clan please add our clan to its invite list and include us. Trust me we need practice. If you are interested in joining Mongols please contact me.

I have played in some {RP} games and i do believe that many of them have much talent. but others seemingly forget the game and the RP aspect of it after a few turns, but it is quite the opposite in other {RP} games i have played. i believe they are a great clan. i have recently became a paid Member and just started playing the ladder games. i have never really payed attention the the forums aside from my own clan. so speaking out of what i know here. I play Diplos/Role playing games because i find them extremly fun. to manage your alliances in diplos to talking about your nations religious and theological beliefs in roleplaying games. both do take some skill because in all you are trying to win. but they do take less skill then the ladder games and simply regular games... honestly i am very bad at 1v1s and much better at 2v2s-4v4s. it is a work in progress to learn the ladders and how to win and it again, takes a great amount of skill.... to address the whole ladder/skilled play vrs. the role playing community. they should not be compared and should be treated as seperate aspects of this game. one for more competitive play and one for more relaxed fun. both are fun it is simply the fact that some like one more then the other.

- Thank you from Prometheus
