Reading your opponents moves like a book.

Yes. It is the same game. Turn 5, smoove's counter will never be forgotten. Notice how the counter is planned at the picking stage.

PS. something mean you SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!

Suggestion!
Implement an Honorable Slammy Award, for all the players who do a lot for the community. (Script makers, CloT runners, CL organizers, Other leagues folks, etc....)
One single "Most Valued Community Member" can ofc still be given. But there is too many worthy players. All the nominees in that category deserves an award! How do you rank a clot vs a script?

EDIT:
However, the "Best Clan" category will be open for public voting.

DARKLORDS! ASSEMBLE! :D

Best Overall Player - MotD (strong on 1v1 games, but dominates in team games)
Best 1v1 Player - Buns157 (between him and Mod, but he's winning on Mod's own template in the seasonal which is kinda funny)
Best 2v2 Team - Beren and MotD (the way they talk about each other on skype reminds me of Tom and Jerry. Also best team on the 2v2 ladder in my opinion)
Best 3v3 Team - Timinator, Sephiroth, and MotD (I don't know much so just picked the #1 team on the 3v3 ladder)
Most Underrated Player - LeQuébécois_Benoit (very versatile player)
Most Self-Confident Player - Boston (very bad loss to a bad player)
Most Improved Player - Panagiotis (I don't know much so basing this off of other peoples' answers)

Pretty sure Cowboy/Supergamerzchannel is a shoe-in for most improved. Totally agree Pana has stepped up this year, but like Super didn't even know how to play, and is now pretty good. Comes down to the help he got on his stream.

Usually, runners-up will also be mentioned in the award. However, I'll take extra care to describe all the candidates in the "Most Valued Community Member" category, as I agree that their contribution is invaluable and should be properly addressed even if they didn't necessarily win that award.

I'm so honored by this nomination.

I'd like to thank the original poster, without whom none of this would have been possible.

I'd also like to thank the WL community's stalkers, who seem to have read the post but didn't reply (only 3 responses before the nomination!). The Forum can't be fun if nobody does anything.

Most of all, I'd like to thank the two classified websites I have perused in the past when bored, the defunct Kijiji.com (which helped me land a few jobs and language exchanges) and huarenjie.fr (which has helped me find jobs and an apartment). Their pathetic (but interesting) ads for romance were the true inspiration!

I won a game recently. It was beautiful, just beautiful. All I do is win, win, win. When I win, I win big league. I ban Muslims and Mexicans from my games and don't let blacks play my maps. I don't let attacks from China or Japan succeed. And I get along with teammates in Russia.

When you win in WL, girls let you do anything, especially if you use Tic-Tacs.

these are pointless because it's not about nominating or figuring out the best, it's about publicly fellating people. the nominations should be secret, then some truth might be found.

Best Overall Player - MoD/Buns Don't make me choose!
Best 1v1 Player - MoD
Best 2v2/3v3 Motd+Beren Motd/Timi/Seph
Most Underrated Player - Edge
Most Self-Confident Player:
Most Improved Player - Dogberry - He may not be a notable player but this is the guy that has little to no confidence in his play and he genuinally thought he'd be 1500ish on the 1v1 ladder and is currently 1846 (although not yet ranked), and just a general all round big improvement.

Streaming Awards
Insightful Commentator: PS firstly and then Mod, Motd. I learnt so much when I was a noob listening to these guys on the WGL streams (and still do)
Entertaining Commentator: Sephiroth - he's hilarious, a stream with him commentating is guaranteed fun.

Forum Awards
Best Troll - Jz - although not shown publically, her troll userscript and pranks she pulls on people are hilarious.
Best Forum Post - Gui's post on Nauz's 2v2 ladder thread. - I don't read the forums too often but this made me chuckle
Best Forum Thread - Will update this later

Community Awards
Best Template - Can I have french brawl?! Can I ?!? :( ok then Elitist Africa
Best Map - Will update this later
Best Clan - NWO - Have seen these guys have their ups and downs and while they might not be the one of the top clans, skillwise in warlight, I think they deserve respect for coming through it. Ben really has done a great job with them.

Best Sportsmanship - Awesomeguy, the time he left the ladder so as to not get the gold trophy because he thought he didn't deserve it (i think it was due to unexpired games?) was a true show of good sportsmanship. Total respect to him.
Most Valued Community Member - Motd hands down, all the work he puts into both the Multi Day Ladder and the Clan league is utterly outstanding.

In-Game Awards
Best 1v1 Game Win - will update this later
Best Team Game Win - https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=12330949 - Rambo+Belzebu/Ruil+Mohikanin - Really entertaining game to watch, great play by both teams all the way through. (started in 2016 but finished in 2017, been told that counts :) )
Best Prediction - https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=11652015 - Motoki/Aura - turn 10

My assumption is that redundant nominations will not sway the final results. As such, I am only putting forward people in categories where they have not previously been nominated. The only exception is one instance where I believe I need to say something to help make a stronger argument in their favor.

If redundant nominations do matter, then I will return and complete the list in its entirety.

Most Underrated Player: Hades of Lynx

Most Self-Confident Player: Platinum of Outlaws

Most Improved Player: Apollo of Outlaws (though the SuperGamerzchannel nomination by Electric Kitten does deserve a +1 here as well) - if I got nominated here, Apollo definitely deserves a mention. I played numerous team games with him when we first both joined the strat community. We were both really really bad, but he may have been worse than even I was. However he put in the hard work that I was unwilling and unable to do. In no time at all, he went from being subpar to competent to really really good. Today, he is a much better player than I am and is really sneaky good in his own right (trust me, you don't want to meet him in a No Split Macedonia game). He deserves this nomination WAY more than I do.

Insightful Commentator: I know he was mentioned as part of a group several times, but just in case he needs a solo nomination, PS

Entertaining Commentator: SuperGamerzChannel of FCC - For those of us playing during the overnight hours, Super's streams are highly entertaining. Though he himself may not be as funny or as charismatic as other streamers, he is directly responsible for fostering and growing a successful community. His streams are a delight. I don't even care if he's already been nominated, nobody - and I mean NOBODY - does a better job as a solo streamer than Super.

Best Sportsmanship: Apollo of Outlaws - Two words: GOOD MORNING!!!

SO MANY LATE EDITS!!!

Best Overall Player: Krzysztof of Outlaws
Best 1v1 Player: Krzysztof of Outlaws

Best Troll: Gargamel - I know this category specifically had the forums in mind, but if what he is doing with the 30 Day Points ranking isn't a form of trolling, then I don't know what is :-)

Best Overall Player: MotD (Not the most solid in 1v1 but I think the most solid all around)

Best 1v1 Player: Timinator/Buns/MoD one of theses 3

Best 2v2: Beren + MotD

Best 3v3: MotD + Sephiroth + Timinator

Most Underrated Player: Pichu (Kayleigh of Apprentices)
I think she would underrate herself too :) and say that she can't be the most underrated player.

Most Self-Confident Player:
Kezzo/Tacky/Omnicient/Nox/Farah (the superior), etc. so many guys, I can't list them all!

Most Improved Player: Rouxburg
Rouxburg started around this time of last year player. He first was recruited in KT clan, a clan that isn't really going anywhere. Then, NWO, my clan, recruited him. He improved until he got in the scope of 101st, that brought him in. He then went into Apprentices and got into Masters, all that in a span of like 6-7 months!

Best Forum Post: Qi's post regarding the 2v2 ladder player search of Omniscient

Best Map: RoR
Most popular amongst open-games but certainly not amongst the WL strat community, RoR is probably the most played map in this game and comes in various forms (5X5 full distrib, deadman's RoR, etc.).

Best Clan: Hydra
Hydra as a good mix of skilled players with players that are learning to become better. They have a very active chat on Discord and they are super well organized. The community as a whole is quite stable and very fun to be a part of. GE is indeed great too as one of the leader of it!

Players that exhibit good behavior/etiquette at all times: AG
AG is always very fun to play with or against. He always has a positive attitude, he is super!

Most Valued Community Member: MotD
MotD is one of the guys on the panel of Clan League. He also made the mdl CLOT. His dedication to the WL strat is appreciated by everyone I think.

Best voices in streaming ;)
Styxie, sexiest english accent
Glam, most viril accent ever
MotD, very thick indian accent with him saying super intelligent stuff (when I can understand what he says)
