I need to read as much as possible about French politics for a project I'm doing and I'm having a hard time actually finding something updated and informative. It seems for some odd reason most editions on French politics are from the 70s and the system has changed a lot since then. Any suggestions?

Well, this election is *trés nul*.
You have a far-right Islamophobic Europhile man running against a far-right Islamophobic Euroskeptic woman.
French Fifth Republic:
Gaulism (rightist model for Frenchmen -> Mitterand (socialist model for Frenchmen) -> Chirac (the man who saved France from Le Pen the first time) -> Sarkozy (putain!) -> Hollande (socialist who you want to *not* model yourself after) -> (Hopefully) Fillon (rightist who you *don't* want to model yourself after)
I recommend researching the time when the French Communist party had the most seats!

François Hollande is the most french thing ever.
I mean, he had his bodyguards leave baguettes on his chick's door. Also, his goddamn name just screams "french".

I personally prefer Fillon this cycle. Hollande seems to be the Hoover of France. Would've been a better President if he had lead in a different times.

TeamGuns that was actually pretty damn informative. Thanks. But I still need some books on it. I can't find anything on google which is really weird.
