If this is already an idea, let me know. Anyway, my idea is a Olympic Games set up. Players would represent a country, and they would compete in certain "events" of their choosing. The so-called "events", would be a variety of strat templates, ranging from 1v1 to 3v3. Players would join a country first (If your country is not on the list, tell me and I will add the country and add you to it), and then choose which events they would like to compete in. If you have suggestions for templates that should be added, leave the name, and the link in your reply to this thread. If not many people join, I will cancel this whole event and maybe try again some other time, but PLEASE join if you are at all interested! If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post them below! I hope this can grow popular in the WL community.
Joining PLEASE NO ALTS
If you would like to join a country, please say it in the forum (Please only join a country you live in, come from, have family ties to, etc. Please do not choose a country that does not fall within those specifications..). Please PM me once you do this to tell me which 1v1 events you would like to compete in. Please do not tell me Doubles (2v2) and Team (3v3) teams because these will not be created yet. Once all of the countries have filled up, players will be allowed to create pairs and teams with their teammates representing the same country! Keep in mind all events will be Multi-Day! (Please tell me if any of the templates posted below are incorrect and/or real time)
LayoutFirst there will be a preliminary pool, for example; right now there are about 20 people signed up for French Brawl. All 20 of those people will play 3 games against each other randomly. (I will use a random matchmaker). So Player 1 might play Player 3,16, and 18. Player 3 might play Player 1, Player 12 and Player 6. You may play someone from your country but that is ok. Anyway, after all of the prelim matches are over, the players with the best records will be put into a tournament. Winner of the tournament gets gold, the loser of the final round gets silver, and the losers of the semifinals will play in a game for Bronze.
