Oh, I didn't know crazy settings were being used. Those settings sound interesting, but maybe for this event we should make it a more "normal" game (i.e. turn off the multi attack and no-split).
My concern is that most players won't understand the strategy and will have no chance, since they've never played on those settings before.
Since this is a one-time special event, I'd hate to see most players feel like they had no chance, and see the game dominated by the people who have practiced it. The settings should be something that the average WarLight player is familiar with.
Either that or do a practice game first, but I'm afraid that would take too much time.
Well, in all honesty most 40 FFA games features a twist or two. Most typical the Diplo-sort. If you want the most played 40FFA game- that is a lotto template for sure. Of course Dobbel or quadruple Earth -no fog- rest normal could be interesting. (Or a thoose hexacircile maps for a very even game) But I kinda like messy big FFA's.
The problem with a full-scale test/practice game. they probably won't fill /:
Also, a normal 40 FFA could last very long.
@Beren, Smaller map could lead to longer game tbh. think, small Earth.
@Sharpe, you are right, unusual settings favors experienced players. But so do normal settings.
PS. (not the player, dah xD)
I think of this as a Normal Settings 40 FFA

Also makes it slightly faster. Fog level is tricky, since you need to know how the game is going i suppose it has to be light or no fog, but that makes the game longer, since players will target the big guy.
