I agree with you Master Ree, but I don't think the challenge is higher is the explanation. At least not the only one.

If you check some Apex games... the level is clearly lower than the previous season. They have also a new team in teamgames, and from our game in GL against Apex, I they don't have (especially by seeing how and when they pass their turns).

For WG, it seems it is two seasons they seems not have the time/envy to play very well with a real focus.

Idem for FC, I'm not really enjoyed by how our teamgames work. It's seems I'm the only one who really play with focus in our 3v3, and I didn't expect that. It should not be puppetting with Niko and 118218, so this is currently completely desorganised. I feel like a dictator to save our games now.^^ The summer is not for nothing here, and I realised july and august are the worst period to play a CL. I don't doubt it will be better in september, we get along very well between us in FC.

PS: random move order in 2v2 is a real bullshit. No way to predict anything. It's almost like playing blind.^^

MG's second round of boots drops him to 0-4, whilst promoting Wazz and GreenTea to 3-1 records. Finally, a 2v2 group other than ME finishes their second game, with the Lynx team of GreenTea and Arkanton victorious over GG's BraaK and The Window Cleaner. The Lynx team of ZeroBlindDragon and le Marseillais (1-0) also claimed victory over GG (MG + Volcanoob)(1-1), and although it was confirmed by boot, surrenders had already been offered.

The main thing I was trying to point out is that as teams come and go, it changes the "expected" point allocation among the teams. So a team who is successful in one season, may not find themselves as successful another.

Obviously, as people come and go within clans and line-ups change that too also plays a huge (if not more vital) role in how the final standings will shake down.

I agree with Phaeril as well in that the team game system is not perfect but I do not think there is a way to fix that. I think that instead of viewing it as multiple people playing against each other, you have to view it as how to play with multiple incomes that are distinct but dependent on each other.

Another update would be really nice.

Motoki loses his 1st game on Treasure Map, Jz and Nack are both still unbeaten and their game may decide who takes that tourney. JV gets GG's revenge on masters by beating MotD on French brawl, A nice upset, and it secures the tournament for Phaeril who has only 1 loss and 1 remaining game, and wins against everyone with 2 losses. Another GG win on strat ME means this is quite a different story for GG from the last update... and given the loss from Apex on 2v2 strat ME, GG take quite a big step away from the danger zone. As well as turtles victory on 2v2 Strat ME over apex, Buns takes down brisk to mirror the result in 1v1 Strat ME, which also means thats buns is the first to completely sweep a tourney! Nice going! But it's not all glory for turtles, as WG's Andersault beats the previously unbeaten Turkish on battle islands... quite an upset. Despite turtles wins, and masters mixed results, turtles are still 5% behind. The top trio who have been neck and neck for so long are beginning to splinter, but we're only just past the halfway mark it's still anyone's game.

Looks like Apex woke up, and by that I mean timi finally came back from his eternal vacation. Turns out his win against ChrisCMU was decided a month ago, and he's just taken this long to accept the surrender. But Apex have grabbed an impressive 9 points to give them hope of staying in the division. GG aren't going to let Apex catch them too easily though, and grab a 2v2 win. WG gets absolutely crushed and loses 18 max points and no wins this time. Meanwhile at the top, Lynx have had a bad week, with as many losses as wins. Masters grab a win and are now neck and neck with Lynx for the lead.
