3. French MAY scrape 3rd... if they're lucky, I think without gui, they won't perform as well, but they have learnt, and they have a strong lineup, they may just be able to cling onto the podium position.

4. GG's line-up seems to have the same strengths and weaknesses as last time. A very strong 1v1 line-up, just as strong as masters, but a team line up which is just going to drag them kicking and screaming off the podium.

5. LYNNNNNNNX yooooooooooo, kind of surprised everyone's predicting us 7th, we had someone in 4 tourneys retire last time, so not sure how we would do worse (unless someone else retires...)

6. Turtles line-up is very varied, I think they'll perform very well in a few tourneys... and crash and burn in others. 3-6 will be very close, but I think the inconsistencies in turtles line-up will give them a bit of a disadvantage.

7. WG Alas, they were only saved last time by the activity of the 3 clans below them, I think this clan league they won't be so lucky. Their line up starts off strong, but their are a few weak points... and I fear they will be brutally exploited...

Ok, PoonSquad is going to bomb. Though I should probably just make predictions for B and C as those are the only two divisions I care or know something about. A is about my head so I don't care what goes on there, D I just don't spend any time with those clans so I'm uninformed.

Division A

This one breaks down into the following sub-contests:

The MASTER Clan is a quick favorite to win this division (balanced, active, growing), but Apex should still be a real challenger for the top spot. I expect French to decline significantly without Strategos, Turtles to outperform others' predictions (they're a mixed bag but imho balanced enough to pull off a podium spot), GG to narrowly lose a podium spot to the Turtles. WG and Lynx relegating because WG seems to be in a bit of a decline (or at least not growing as fast as the other A clans) and Lynx- while never the dominant strat clan- is now looking at being outdone by {101st} in strat capability.

Division B

ONE! is a competitive, seasoned roster, and should be able to prevail over the others. I don't know much about VIW, Blitz, SNinja, REGL, or Stahl, but Stahl and REGL seem like the weakest rosters and VIW has Tony/AWESOMEGUY so that's not bad. {101st} has balance, though, and Blitz as well to a lesser degree. VIW/SNinja should get knocked off the podium because their rosters are a mixed bag and REGL and Stahl join the Division C party.

VS is a shoe-in for the #1 spot; they've been a Division B clan for quite some time. BIA/LEA are obvious, in-decline contenders for the relegation spots.

So that leaves CORP, M'Hunters, and Hydra back in battle for the promotion spot and silver/bronze. Of the three, I think CORP's improved the most since Clan League 7- no longer as imbalanced/1v1 sided, but still in control of their formidable 1v1 roster. M'Hunters is better organized than they were last time, and they've had quite a few great players at their disposal, but I expect them to narrowly lose to a more balanced, possibly more prepared CORP. Hydra has also improved after the merger, but I don't see it being that much better than Illuminati or AWF and thus getting edged out by CORP and M'Hunters- who'll both be leaps and bounds ahead in skill of where they were in CL7 D1.

TJC and TLW should both be competitive and hopefully shoe-ins for the promotion spots- TJC's fielding their regular competitive roster (smiley and all) and TLW's actually trying now and should be able to remain competitive in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 if their leader did his job right. Think this one will be interesting, with TJC edging out TLW due to more experience, more solid players, and more balance.

HAWKS, FBG, and [NL] are competing for a podium spot; FBG's just slightly weaker than they were in CL7, HAWKS look a bit stronger, and NL looks about the same.

Poon Squad and Olympus both lost their best players to other clans (M'Hunters, Lynx, realizing you really have more class than calling yourself "ieatpubes" and being in a genitals-themed group) and I expect their performance to reflect that.

I think the new comers Masters could give the veterans a run for their money, but playing Sephiroth in not one but two different tournaments is really going to hamper their hopes. And to make it even worse in one of them he is paired with Pushover - simply a recipe for desaster.
I don't think Turtles or Lynx have the quality needed to stay in the league unfortunately (there is only so much Buns can do) and I think the bottom three will be close together. WG have nicer team games in my opinion, which is why I think they will do better, but a toss up between the three.

ONE the strongest in my opinion, though I've played less with people from this league than the players in A so less knowledge about the clans. Blitz looking good too, maybe if Panagiotis played in more tournaments for 101st I would put them above Blitz, but we'll see how that ends.
VIW and SNinja should be ok and solidly stay up, maybe giving the top 3 a push depending on how certain head to heads go down.
Unfortunately I have to put REGL in the relegation spot, we are missing Hennns and Mentysh, and I think we may struggle without the class those two bring to our lineup. Either of them playing 2 tournaments would be enough for us to stay up I think, but missing on those crucial wins will put our win rate quite low. Hopefully the lads prove me wrong though!
Stagl only heard of goatfinger, amerlafrance and farragut. Will be interesting to see how much of an imptact those guys can make to the overall clan performance since they play in over half the tournaments.

Don't know enough about the players in the other divisions to discuss them. I think people should note Quicksand is only playing in 1 tournament though, so even though he will bring 15 points (most probably) and cause losses to every other team, that probably isn't enough to change CORP's position by that much. I think VS will win Div 3 though.

Because nobody knows what will happen anyway.
