I side with adding MA instead of LD for the RT-Ladder.

LD usually drags out long, while RT-Ladder should be for quick games. MA supports quick games. Swap it.

I'm going to guess the next update will come out tomorrow, not a big update, but just to change a few things, like this.

I'll be disappointed if he doesn't add 2 or 3 templates, because RT ladder is what I had high hopes for.

The fact that this was rated near the middle of all the suggested seasonal templates is shocking, its complete crap for 1v1.

It depends on what you are looking for in a game I guess and then it has it's fanbase.

So we'll swap Turkey LD for France LD, which was the highest rated LD template. We'll also swap Season I for Old Strat 1v1, and swap Heavy Earth for French Brawl.

This is OK. I'm glad Strat 1v1 is on the RT ladder, and I love French Brawl. I'd much rather Season I was replaced with Phobia or Antarctica... :S It's still such a shame that FFVII did so poorly. Legi's Black Sea, Raj, Qina, GME III are also cool

But shouldn't you swap out an LD template for an MA template? They're both interesting peripheral settings, and I think this vote proved that MA is more popular than LD, so why not have MA Snow Mountains?


Anyway, this was a lot of criticism, but overall I am really satisfied with it. 1v1 ladder showed that the majority is with SR, 2v2 ladder got lots better, 3v3 ladder stayed good, next Seasonal will be fun, and RT ladder got a lot better! Thanks for this change and allowing us to vote, can't show more gratitude! :D

Edit: Is there a possibility of increasing the amount of templates and putting in post-melt, and phobia in, as well as maybe snow mounatains MA.

I am happy that this poll happened and helped improve the ladders.
2v2 ladder change is good. I am also happy to have French Brawl and Old Ladder in RT ladder while see Heavy Earth and Season I gone (EA&O staying though :( ). Next seasonal also looks like lots of fun (I really wanted British Raj though :P).

BUT, I don't understand the LD thing. The poll clearly shown that this setting is just unwanted. Even the MA template has much more support (finishing over 3/5), so adding this one in place of LD one would be for better while keeping variety level.

It seems that there is no people who dislike this template though. Maybe actually put it in 1v1 ladder instead of controversial MME SR or ME WR? :D

I think the overall changes are good:


- the 1v1 ladder stays the way it is, I think even though I like the old ladder template more, it's not great to have luck for ladders

- 2v2 ladder with 3 picks is an improvement, let's see if my team can keep the good position with it xD

- 3v3 ladder, I disagree that it should stay the way it is, the results are terrible for the actual template; in my opinion a new poll should be made about it, 50%+ want a change or don't care about the current template. That should be enough to make a new poll for it, with new templates proposed to whether replace the EU template or not, one I personally don't like too much, and would like to see alternatives to.

- Seasonals, I don't know the template, but I guess it's not a big problem

- Real-time ladder had some good overall changes, but I'll disagree with the LD template and commanders, as said before, LD is too long in turkey, and I believe it will remain too long in France; I'm also not a big fan of repeated maps, 1 France map is good, 2 is meh. For commanders, I don't hate the setting, but I think it's unfair to non-members that can't practice on it, take it out or offer a way for them to play it without having a membership.


Other good ideas I'd love to see implemented:

- More templates for the MD ladders, 5 for the 1v1, 3 for the 2v2 and 2 for the 3v3 could be a great addition. It's often a bit boring to play the same template over and over there, so new templates will make it more challenging as well as funnier.

- A RT-ladder with more templates should be fun too 15, or even 20 templates will make every game a different one, everyone would need to adapt to the templates, and it will be a very interesting ladder.

- Map plurality would be great, please avoid having a lot of templates with the same map/very similar ones, it creates confusion when it comes to settings (I always need to check twice when I'm playing medium earth for the RT-ladder) and it doesn't offer the discovery of new good maps to players.

- Maybe polls on the way ladders work themselves? I think it's unfair that the current ladder system is so easy to make runs on, that games could expire a bit faster (3/4 months?) and that after a certain ammount of games (maybe 100?), the first ones should expire. It's frustrating to be unable to grow on the ladders because you had bad games a few months ago compared to how well you improved since then. The current system made me drop out of the 1v1 ladder and start a run with an alt, 2 things I doubt is great for the ladder itself.

sad to see both france swap ins on the RT ladder. prefer turkey LD and heavy earth to both france scenarios. :(

apart from that it would be nice to increase the number of tempaltes on the realtime ladder to 15 as benjamin and timinator suggested.

I've been talking to MoD some time ago and he pointed there is a way to improve France template a bit. Remove abandon, add one airlift, lower one of the bonuses value (some on the north)

I really hope we can continue to vote on the seasonal. While there are a few things I would like changed on all the ladders, I am happy that the seasonal results were taken into account.

I like local deployments, but they are really not good for RT games. I agree 100% with Timinator that MA would be a better niche setting for RT than LD, since the games don't have the same potential to drag on forever.

Yeah HHH of course that saddens me... but it was expected since new players probably never played wr before and don't even know it.

Overall the ladders got definitely improved. I'd love to see the local deployement template switched out with a multiattack template.

I also strongly support the idea of adding more templates to the rt ladder!

i truly think this poll was ridicoulus.
here are my reason:

The suggested changes for 1v1 and 3v3 ladder were straight up bad (in fact big major voted for keep them as they are..) and 2v2 ladder wasn't possible for 4 picks, but only for 3. So 2v2 ladder still sucks up as picking stage is unbalanced.

I won't argue with seasonal template, most of them are new and i never played them, so cannot judge.

They got VERY LOW average vote, still you want those BAD setting in the ladder. Switch map won't help. I don't understand the point to keep those setting in the ladder when major part of the user dislike them.

After another poll, 2v2 ladder setting are still unbalanced (a little better but still you cannot cover the whole map and you must rely un luck on pick).

3v3 ladder still miss attack only setting.

Real time ladder still have some arguable template with LD and commander which they got downvoted :/

I honestly don't care much as i am not playing much, but i really think there should be made some changes to template. Those changes take few clicks ^^
