SirSalty/MaceFellOutOfTheWindu has been banned completely and indefinitely. This time, Fizzer deleted all of Mace's posts and prevented Salty from logging in at all. And so, Salty decided to leave Warlight forever.

^ that's the point, Eklipse. He didn't really do much to deserve it. Sure, he was annoying at times, but no one would want him to get banned permanently. Except Fizzer, as it would seem.

Why put an age restriction if you're still gonna ban people for things?

(I'd be perfectly fine with no WarLight as long as there was a forum where I could keep up the banter...)

Also, it doesn't really take much effort to solve that; he could have just, y'know, moved the forum to a free forum host such as phpboards or invision. It takes little to no effort, lots of people would definetely help him with it and even in their free versions they are still way better to use than warlight's broken forum.

Also, he does have some guilt for not having an efficient moderation until the poop hit the fan. The fact it took a whole slap to the face (or the bank account for that matter) for him to act already shows negligence. If those images were switfly deleted, players wouldn't post it. If the forums were properly moderated, players wouldn't suddenly start being banned on a daily basis.

I mean, efficient as in getting two or three people having the capacity of deleting an inlined image or a thread and that was it, is it really that hard? Now we actually do have people that seem to actually moderate stuff, why couldn't he have done that earlier? Did it really take GOOGLE to complain for him to act?

13 years old is the age restriction. If you're thirteen and you never heard a swear word, then you probably live in the fuhrerbunker secluded from society and I have no idea how you have access to the Internet. Welcome aboard, swearing is probably the least of your worries, have a good time.

I'll miss salt but you can only play with fire for so long.

However I'm think there is somewhat of a problem with the consistency of moderation. From what I understand fizzer dosen't like banning people but I think he just get exasperated with some and kills em. That understandable however the problem is some times people get suspended / warned for certain thing other do all the time. I think a more clear cut what is acceptable and what is not would be nice.

Such as the respect rule; it's a bit of a cop out really. Context is a lot and what is respective is sometimes a grey area.

Compared to stealing money, hacking, DDos, laundering or worse, some swear words are a pathetic reason for suspension.

However I'm think there is somewhat of a problem with the consistency of moderation.

Here is the core of the recent killing spree Fizzer's been on.

He never really moderated or did anything other than very, very, VERY few exceptions.

Players did complain about OT trolls for a long time.

Now he wants to get rid of them because they've been free for too long and, as long as google cares, he does.

So he goes from zero moderation to a maximum security prison tier of moderation where one swear word, from friend to friend, is enough to get you on the hitlist.

Back in my days, people were banned for _actual_ troublemaking, y'know. Like Ion posting his nudes and stuff.

Note, Tyrion and the Tyrion alts are actually different people.

The funny part is that Fizzer's change of heart is seen as so lousy by the community that people get banned and returned like nothing happened. See: Tyrion, Karl, Salty, Death
