Unfortunately, Google has shut down ads on WarLight due to inappropriate images that some players posted on the forum. The offending forum posts have already been deleted, and we are in the process of appealing this with Google to try and get ads turned back on.

These ads represent a significant amount of revenue that helps keep WarLight alive, so we need to take some steps to prevent this from happening again. Effective immediately, only members are allowed to in-line images in forum posts and other discussions.

It's unfortunate that a few bad apples ruined it for everyone else, but as they say, "this is why we can't have nice things."

We've also added a Report link next to each forum post. If you see anything inappropriate posted, please use the report link to report it.

Sad... but i really think we can get some "Players" get banned easier and that's definitely a good Thing.

Thanks, Fizzer! It sucks that these changes were forced, but this actually seems like a solid step going forward to moderate forum posts without requiring that much more infrastructure.

That said, this still doesn't deter the strategy of just creating a new account (repeatedly) to post images on the forum (since they can just get a free one-month Membership off the bat)- a lot of the trolls on OT have already done this in response to getting banned. Not sure how that's going to play out, but you might have to resolve that in the near future.

The forum and mail threads use the same system, so yes.

To activate the free trial, they have go through PayPal, so we can just ban that PayPal account, and it's really hard to create lots of PayPal accounts since they have a lot more restrictions around account creation than WarLight does.

there would be new accounts with new inappropriate Pictures as we had it before. I really hope this Forum can get rid of some persons with those steps. i loved the Forum as it was 2 years ago. great, game related threads not only a random place for People sharing random toughts. use Facebook for that :)

Never once seen a offensive image in all the threads except off-topic.. Thanks to the trolls and kids in that forum posting hentai and other sexual images it has now ruined it for the rest of us. Thank you off-topic.

^ Not just OT posters. IIRC, at least Loli and Thomas 633 have posted porn on the forums in the past.

I think this change for myself anyways have made personally myself more angry at the off-topic low mental idiots.. I'm just really upset as I was planning to put images of strategic gameplay into 101st forums. Now, Thanks to the perverted idiots this is a first a feature has been remover from free members thanks to the small minority.
