This is a theory I am proposing on basis for scientific advancement. I theorize that cats can indeed hold their breath forever. Such experiments can be done by placing them in a field of water.

Such cats that should be use are from different ethnicity. To test the hypothesis we should us different clothes on them to test whether there is any difference.



Second test should be that if there are types of cats that can not hold their breath forever. We can conclude that if they don't want to stay in the water it is because they can not hold their breath indeed.



Also a third test must be made if the environment plays any certain role for the breath of the cats. I propose a polluted environment is best fit to test this theory.




Finally we must all do this so we can collect data and compare to come to a final conclusion.

People used to drown cats, you know... this is kinda offensive.

You gotta buy a persian/Himalayan cat. My neighbor has one and they are so adorable. I love going there and pretending to care about his tax return but instead stroking that cat.

A convincing theory. But it's simply incorrect, You see, Cats have these things called "Lung's" that require "Oxygen" to breathe.

Cats can indeed hold their breath for eternity. Ive witnessed this many times with my own cats. Although they put up a nasty struggle at first, they eventually sub come to their primal instincts and hold their breath for an eternity. I still have o'l Thomas floating in the rain barrel out in my backyard. He looks so peaceful all the time. So calm and dormant. <3<3<3
