Recently, I have come into disagreement with AOE on their new constitution and how it works. It looks strangely like a repeat of the falcons to me and I cannot sit and watch my creation die like that. So, what clan is best for me? I would like to explore my horizons and see new ideas and forums.

What happened with the falcons again? I know they have/had a long and relatively pointless constitution; is this what AOE doing?

If it is the one posted in the HCA, then I would say it isn't Colonel-level large.
You're not there yet.

Genghis,
A long time ago, Colonel went constitution crazy. We would have a new 100 law constitution pretty frequently, and he went on witch hunts putting everyone on trial. Eventually, as he started to go crazy against everyone, the clan overwhelmingly voted to kick him out of the clan. The interim clan leaders were ineffective, and a lack of activity ensued. Colonel came back, instituted new elections, and nothing much changed. He ruined our reputation with harsh comments, and eventually Cade kicked him out. As Colonel left, he refused to play in any of the RP League matches.

I have just resigned as Leader of AOE (although not because of the constitution...I was planning this for several weeks). Here is a link of the new constitution: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wiMq93OoMfcirJFXb81lYKuPuikx4ylBBlgHs-ONHYU/edit?pref=2&pli=1

Well, our old 124 clause Constitution was inefficient and had too many symbolic measures.
Ex. Minting of coins

what is the difference between your own constitution and Jwilly's new one? the only real change that I saw was that in yours the manager rights are constantly held by a "head proctor" and in his it changes hands during each democratic election. other than that I didn't see any major differences between your two "constitutions".

His is more Complicated ( in my opinion ) and if power and MR is changing hands constantly it's always dangerous.

yet ironically you claim to be a champion of democracy. if you are not willing to part with manager rights then perhaps you should stop falsely advertising yourself as warlight's only democratic clan. I think I wrote about this a while ago about the ironies of your clan yet you never responded to my points :(

What are you talking about? Lol I don't have MR rights and I resigned at the height of the clans growth movement. I have never claimed to the be the champion of democracy? Wtf are you talking about? What's so ironic?

He didn't have manager rights indeed, so it's not because he feels sad for being demoted or anything.

Still, homeless has one bit of a point here - that's the price of democracy. Those things happen, and drama comes along. We tried, the falcons tried, everything went sort of the same way. Eventually, someone disagrees with everyone else. Unlike a country however, people can leave WarLight clans. And when people leave, drama says hi and the shit hits the fan.

In the Wolves, it's pretty much what happened with Shyb.

~

EDIT: I just checked AOE's forums. It's pretty much what heppened when Shyb left the Wolves. Same thing going on. Drama ensuing, some people going "oh-oh", some others trying to prevent change, some others saying "calm down everyone" and some just hoping for the ideas to be ditched before the madness continues.

Here is the biggest difference between a country and a clan, and here's where democracy gets badly hit.
