Hello, and welcome to the Multiattacker's League Season III Information and sign-up thread! This is a league created only for players experienced in Multiattack who love to test their skills with other players in RR-style tournaments! If you would like to participate, please say so here.

NOTE: All players in previous seasons will be expected to play. If players are deemed inactive (after 10 days) I will remove them from the league. If you are a past participant who does not want to continue, please say so here.

This is on Battle Islands V, with 1 neutrals, 7 wastelands of 20, 6 neutrals for territories in distribution (may be changed later on to 4), 0% Luck SR with some cards (gift, reconaissance and blockade) and changed bonuses.

Once I get a complete list of players willing to join/participate, I will randomize groups again (each winner may be reassigned to a seperate RR, depending on how the distribution goes) and will post the results on here.

I will create 3 groups (A, B and C). This is NOT determined of your skill; rather, what random group you will be placed in.

The final day to sign up will be on February 10th, so sign up fast!

This is from AWESOMEGUY's post for season III that unfortunately never happened.

The same template will be chosen, but it's going to be a complete revamp as in none of the people listed above are automatically invited to come back, if you want to play you need to post here.

So the same rules will kinda apply, I will take the pool of players and randomize them into equal groups. After season III is completed everyone returning will be seeded like so:

1st seed: 1st in group stage
2nd seed: 2nd-3rd in group stage
3rd seed: 4th-5th in group stage
etc. etc.

Tournaments for group stage will be like: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, newcomers.

Maximum amount of people allowed in a group will be 7, so if we had 28 people, it'd be 4 tournaments. If we have like 18 people, it'd be 3 tournaments of 6 people. (Try to equal them out as much as possible)

After group stage, group winners will duke it out RR style with tiebreaker series if need be (best of 3).

If you're interested post here, group stage will start in October 23rd

i'll participate of course. but i participated in this already so i think there was something like season 3? i'll search for the tournament!

Awesomeguy told me there were too many complications and that I should just redo Season III. Also I'll still seed anyone who has played previously based on their Season II record, I just am not going to expect you to play. Gotta voice it here.

MA league season III have already been played, it was the same format as season II.

Groups are created randomly (no seeding (looking on you lolo)). Winners goes to the championship. This was my group: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=9643

There was indeed a lot of complications/delays, but MA season III is completed. You should name this season IV. Also, we should have a new template, according to the rules I'm supposed to choose. However, I'm not going to insist on that point, just thought I'd clear up some misunderstandings (and I want a different template).

Lastly, it's awesome that you're picking this up :D

1. Awesomeguy was the one who wanted me to just redo this as Season III.

2. I personally want to add in the seeding rules because it works better for a larger league (I'm expecting a little more than usual for this)

3. Since we're just redoing this as Season III you technically could change the template (because you won Season II), so that's still within your rights.

4. I'd prefer you use BI MA :O

@Hennns: If winner of Group A always wins, it's a Promo/Releg league. Promo/Releg leagues are best done on a template that doesn't change so we can gauge how people progress over long periods of time. What we're doing is sorta like what some of the major competitive gaming tournaments do, you seed out based on past performances to make group stage fair, then have a playoffs tournament to determine the winner from the group leaders. I think we should at least give it a shot. Awesomeguy had it set up already that winners from group stage couldn't end up in the same group, but it's still possible for all the runner ups to end up lumped in the same RR, making 1 group incredibly difficult, or a group to have all last place finishers with one of the 1st place guys. I just want to avoid that. :o

You can randomize groups as much as you want (provided that you aren't biased towards giving yourself easy opponents or other players harder opponents). I tried my bed to avoid such situations. Also, if I remember correctly, you can only pick the next season's template three times in a row. If you win the season after that (4 in a row), then the runner up (2nd place) decides the template until a new winner is chosen.
