I don't hate the game. I enjoy it to some extent. I just find it odd that some people take it that seriously or take being good at it as a license to be a dick or constantly put other players down when they're also here to have fun (don't ruin the game for other people by constantly telling them they suck- there are multiple people in this thread that can supply game logs- or even private messages and forum harassment- from M'Hunters players doing that).

I mean, idk, I just prefer succeeding IRL I guess. And I still don't come here and tell you that you suck just because I'm good at certain things you're not good at. Imho, if you really pride yourself on being good at something, you should either just not worry about other people or actually be helpful to them instead of telling them how good you are and how much they suck.

Just to be clear, it's nothing personal.

I have nothing against M'Hunters, and they're certainly not the only clan circlejerking in this thread or on the forums about how good they are. The only exacerbating factor, perhaps, is that they're probably actually going to win the division and usually people hold winners to higher standards.

@TBest: I was kind of in on the joke- I just found it weird that Rogue (or someone else, not making two whole clicks to verify because that's bad UX) took it personally and responded by calling Ox an idiot.

Also like TBest said, it was simply harmless banter, our clan forum is also filled with it, not to be taken seriously. I don't know of any M'hunters member that puts others down though, so not understanding the hate

@Nogals: Uh... there's a specific game between you and another player I could link to in which you told them to quit the game (or something to that effect) because they were shit. Unless the name change from "Mister Red" to "Nogals" occurred because the original Mister Red died or something and handed it to a new person, there's a little bit of evidence out there (games and forum posts) that you're quick to judge people negatively and denounce them after very little interaction with them.

Again, nothing personal. I still respect you as a player, but getting a little bit pissy at people for taking too long to make a move in a game (there's this thing called real life that some of us have to deal with) or just not being good enough might not be the best way to conduct yourself. There are literally people who have vendettas against you over that.

Obviously, if you like making enemies, that's not an issue. But I've always found friends just a little bit more valuable (y'know, three or four order of magnitude on some arbitrary scale of value) than enemies.

I think that game was against Siiral who I blacklisted. I was trying to be friendly and then I told him after he was on base income that it was over and then he stalled the game. I blacklisted him and am currently stalling a game against him in the clan league.

^^ Panda, I'm a dick to certain people, but not because they're bad at the game- actually, I can't think of any members of that set that aren't you, Kazuki, and maybe Prabster and Death. But again, this isn't about me. I could be killing someone right now but that doesn't mean you should ignore me when I tell you that killing people is bad.

^ Nogals, I don't know what happened that game (siirial is someone I've played with and hold in high regard, generally). I apologize on his behalf (I think he just got mad at you of your tone, but that's a guess) and hope that you don't get petty over this. Stalling doesn't make the game any more fun for you, either, and I'm 99% sure you're one of the people who actually play the game and don't gain much from just wasting time.

As for Nogals, he booted a played in a carefully planned diplomacy game, too... and he caused it to restart because he booted Russia... and then saw nothing wrong with this move.

I have mixed feelings towards Nogals. Sometimes he's a nice guy, sometimes (like here), not really.

I'm arrogant! LOL
