Lord eKell, you point is completely valid but warlight has to be attracting new members as well as catering for the regular users otherwise the whole thing will fall apart. Also some of the best custom scenario's are somewhat biased towards a certain slot, however, creating an unfairly biased slot with no other reason than to win and gain points (some of sun god's other games are ranked) is completely wrong. i honestly think that a new system needs to be implemented so that regular users and new players can easily see the custom scenario and that custom scenario games are clearly noted. will most likely be making a new thread giving more detail to this idea

Several Points that I think should be made:

If I ran the zoo, I would suspend Sun God's ability to make custom scenario games for 2 weeks.

In that time, I'd make a concrete policy on weighted games.

I agree with haydos on all his points.

Teaching newbies is a rewarding experience for those who want the game to succeed, for those who vividly remember being newbies, etc.


*Playing* in Custom Scenario Games should be something that requires a level 15? account.

*Playing* in a multiplayer game with a ton of custom settings should require a level ?? account.

Rating Templates and Custom Scenarios should become one of the most prominent items that people see at the end of a game, especially with Custom Scenarios.

Auto-Games should be expanded.

Also, this: Any games with uneven teams are always practice games.

It is good for that part. Unfortunately he could still make ranked games with custom scenarios as long as there is no uneven team. He could exploit it by setting up a rigged game to farm points and level up.

I don't understand why a game with custom scenario can still be set as ranked too. It should be always practice like how the case in uneven teams do. I think the developer should fix it.

I didn't think they could be. Send an E-mail to Fizz and ask, it's probably just an oversight if that's the case.

However I do believe Fizz would be VERY strict towards those using Customs to up their numbers.

I really don't see the problem with this game that Sun God made, but apparently others are actually bad. It would be much easier to just ban the few people who are abusing the system than changing the whole game.

Scenarios can be used to make very well balanced team games, usually based on historical events, these should be ranked. Winning a diplo, be it as a large country or a small country can take months and people should be allowed to choose if they are ranked.

It is made very clear that a custom scenario is in use. There is a symbol on the dashboard, there is usually a game name that implies a scenraio, a description, it says 'Slot A, B, C, etc.' when you join, and it is highlighted in the settings.

Ban Sun God if you must, but don't overhaul the entire game just because he is annoying.

The Moon Lords would implement harassing and annoyance tactics in games made by Sun God. We would go out of our way to join his game and make life miserable for him.

Noobs should play the "Welcome Newbies Game" which is available for them for the first 20 days after account creation. After 20 days I think a player will have decided if he is going to quit or keep playing....

If the lvl1's that are new simply played those for a while..... they would be better off.

If its a lvl1 player who is old (someone who quit before WL 2.0 and now started playing again) then they are smart enough to check settings.

I'm terribly sorry that my alt Sun God got out of his cage again. I really do need a new lock for it.

I just played one of his games, was dead i turn one and he had pretty much won by then, he gave himself 7 armies a turn while everyone else got 0

It wasn't just newbies either, there were some higher than level 40 when the game started.

of course, he deserves to be punished...

i have played a few games with him. mostly i join his game to humiliate him by winning his riggged games. i made him surrender in one of them

i agree i cant stand his games to where he starts with say 7 income in a small little game and the new people who have no idea whats going on join with 0 income. its sad and pathetic

I've never said a negative word about sun god because ive never been in any of his matches, so if you're implying i was riding him hard you're imagining things

So basically, we're all saying:

1. Sun God is wrong for doing this.
2. It doesn't say you can't do it in the rules.
3. People should read the Settings.
4. People should not play a diplomacy game as their first game (believe me, they make the best PEs).
5. There should be stricter rules on non-Practice games.
