The warlight-server(s) were obviously down / under heavy load for the past 8-10 hours... I just wanted to ask what was the cause, and if the issue is completely solved now?

All I know is that is it completely solved and should not be a problem right now.

I'm really sorry about that. WarLight's servers started having some sort of issue while I was asleep last night. I fixed it as soon as I woke up, so it should be working properly again now. I'm going to investigate what went wrong to ensure it can't happen again.

A few people were experiencing very laggy chat yesterday (before the problem I believe) if that info helps :)

thanks for the reply fizzer, no need to apologize, that can happen. i'm glad you could fix it and everything's fine again.

A quick question, just cause i'm curious: Assuming the server(s) would have been down for a longer time, and there would have been a massive amount of boots due to players being unable to play in time: do you have some kind of "plan" for that, like resetting the time or some backups you could implement?

(I could understand if you don't want to talk publicly about such things, and after all it's none of our business, i'm just curious)

Yeah I was booted from 2 games that I wouldn't have been had the servers not gone down. No big deal but I'm trying to get my boot rate under 1% and that didn't help.

Hi, not sure if this is related to what went on last night, but I seem to be having some sort of a cookie issue in the newest version of Firefox (v. 40.0.2) using warlight.net since last night. No games load up using Firefox, they just go to a black screen. IE seems to work, but that's because I don't use IE as a primary browser and have no cookies.

I also noticed that the games themselves used to be unsecure (i.e. http) instead of secure (https), which they are today, along with the rest of the whole site now. Wondering if that could be the root cause of the 502 error.

I didn't have this issue or have games being HTTP instead of HTTPS, with my Firefox, which is also up-to-date. The was an update for it about 2-3 days ago, if you've not downloaded or installed it.

I was in a game when this happened and got a new error message every 5 mins or every time I tried to reconnect sockets or submit orders. Only 1 or 2 of about 50 error reports actually got sent.
