The pledge of allegiance serves no purpose.

But the moment of silence is when we remember the dead, and offer them our thoughts and support for the things they did, the sacrifices they made.

Removing God from the pledge of allegiance would be great. Keeps the government from trying to molest religion in its push to have people throw themselves at recruiters. Still the pledge would just be you praying to the country, still creepy and Nazi-like.

Don't see why all religion needs to be removed. The American government was found as a Christian country, with Christian countries. Nice to respect some heritage.
