I'm currently in the process of making a Middle East Map, currently the nations in the map are: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Israel, Palestine, Iraq and Jordan. I'm looking for suggestions and improvements and most importantly testers to spot the little issues, in borders and bonuses mainly. If you're up for it just tell me and I'll invite you to test it.

Here's the link, I know it's very messy and not straight bordered or any of that but the roughness is sort of a part of the design and anyway it's my first map so feel free to critically analyse it and say whatever you want:

It's hard to make suggestions and improvements when we don't know anything.

try your best to define the borders by straight line segments. don't use curves, let alone rough ones.

https://www.warlight.net/Play?PreviewMap=15004 - link to pedrito's "World Big". when you zoom in on particular territories, you see how visually simple the borders are. and how well they fit in with the adjacent ones.

You might want to add in the Gaza strip and call it the 'Palestinian territory' to avoid pissing off the internet.

Your borders make it look like Iraq and Saudi Arabia are separated by a 10k wide, 50k long lake, you should probably fix that. The North of Iraq is also a de facto independent Kurdish region, you could reflect that in the bonus name.

I'll help test if needed.

It looks pretty nice aesthetically, though it could definitely be improved. But what are you aiming this map to be? A diplomacy map is likely going to be unpopular. Regular WL map? Kuwait and Qatar are overpowered.

Also, is Al-Anbar South supposed to connect to Western Salah-al-din Governorate?

Northern East Martuh missing connection to Middle Giza.

Also, the names for many territories just suck. Try never using the compass points unless it's in the proper noun.

Thank you for all your suggestions, I'm taking them all on board and starting version 2, from practically scratch.
-I will make sure that armies fit into territories
-Make sure bonuses are appropriate
-Straighten out the borders
-Rename the territories with better names and add more interesting bonuses

I hope to be posting the next version soon.
This is what it is looking like right now: https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=46446

That looks much better, if you want to cut down the blank space you could add more surrounding states. Or you could shift the whole thing East a bit so you can fit in all of Afghanistan and Pakistan without having to add the huge, empty regions of Libya.

You could add cross-national bonuses for ethnicities and religions, it would make the map better for diplomacy games.

The Map has been progressing quite well, I now plan to add in territories for the remaining nations and add in respective bonuses for the countries.
After that I will be putting in Geographical Bonuses (such as):
-Mediterranean Territories
-African Territories
-Asian Territories
-Red Sea Territories
-Arabian Peninsula Territories
And hopefully quite a few more

More important will be the religious bonuses and the Cultural bonuses (such as):
RELIGIOUS:
-Shi'ites
-Sunnis
-Jews
CULTURAL:
-Kurds
-Bedouins
-Misrians
And such

After doing that I hope to add in some useful custom scenarios Such as:
-The Isis Crisis (Rhyme not intended)
-Religious Dispute(Sunni vs Shi'ite)
-Spread of Islam
-Crusades(Maybe)
-Gulf Wars
-Rise of The Ottomans
And of course a one person per nation scenario

Should I cancel some of these ideas? Are they too excessive, if so what should I get rid of?

Anyway, the actual map right now looks like this...Any suggestions or improvements are welcome.

Sunni is not Ibadi.

Also, add in type of religion to Cyprus (Orthodox).

Are you leaving out Sudan, or adding it later?

I love Middle East Maps. I made a couple of scenarios for Middle East maps if that would be any interest to you they're here:

https://www.warlight.net/Forum/107742-middle-east-diplomacy-scenarios

I like that your map focuses more on the central nations, and also that it has more territories than other Middle East maps. We only really have a few so it's nice to have another I think.

If you do add more nations try not to make it too similar to this map:

https://www.warlight.net/Map/420-Middle-East

As it is it already looks similar, it's good to keep things unique :)
