So that we don't have to keep writing +1 all the time.

Actually, I think we first started doing that once someone suggested an upvote button way earlier.

People put +1 because they have nothing useful to say, the like button was the worst thing to happen to Facebook :/

People stopped commenting and just hit like instead, it made it so much less personal. I used to love having 5 or so comments like "Yeah, good job!" and now it's like "You got 5 likes"

Anyway, just my own personal view, rant over, promise!

I don't like it.
Such buttons are for lazy people. And they have no good influence. You can "support" 10 human rights petitions in five minutes and forget them in the next hour.

Yup a like button would turn Warlight into a "Strategy-Facebook"

If there is to be a like button there needs to be a dislike button. Like on YouTube.

I wouldn't care either way if it weren't for the fact that such a system could easily be abused on Warlight due to the sheer number of alts running around.

I agree with Elkipse. It would just turn into more spamming.

What is the point of liking something anyway, or the +1 anyway? Just to show you support something? It doesn't do anything. Fizzer relies on User Voice, so unless you vote there it won't matter.

If it is not a feature (thus not user voice item), why not actually give your two cents? Say why you support something. People do a +1 and you don't even know what comment they are endorsing anyway. The original comment or the one right above them (sometimes people use ^ to denote that)?
