Hi. I've been playing a lot of multi-attack lately. I am not trying to humblebrag, but I haven't been able to find much of anyone able to beat me. I recently had a streak of wins of about 30. I assume that I am doing something wrong because that shouldn't be possible without me having a huge advantage, which I don't feel like I have.
I've made a template on rise of rome with:
real-time Multi-attack 6x40 wastelands Heavy fog Manual distribution 7/7/7 normal cards 2 neutrals 9 base income 3 min autoboot with 10% banking.
But seriously I almost never lose. A lot of times people don't notice the multi-attack but I try to make is super obvious by putting it in the message, title, description, etc. I even warn people before the game. But yeah...they always get suprised when they see a big push.
I really like this type of game (fast, unpredictable, tactical), but am having a hard time finding competition and clearly it's unfair. How do I address this?

Multi-attack and heavy fog don't go well together. Also, heavy fog should have spy, surveillance or reconnaissance cards. Try multi-attack with light fog.
Btw, which map are you using?

There is spy and recon cards, but by the time they roll up the game is basically over. I will make them happen sooner.
And the heavy fog...well, I find them an enjoyable combo. And I have it set to pure skill, as far at rolls go. If it was pure luckbased, I wouldnt be cleaning up.
You are right about people not noticing...I don't know how to make it clearer. I guess people just dont try multiattack much. I think it's great, much faster and less predictable, and you're more able to come from behind. I have min level at 25. I thought about cranking it up...but I hate waiting for players.

If it's heavy fog then it's luck based as you have no idea what is in the next territory. It could be any amount so you can't use skill and math to combat it. Also as you said, it's less predictable which means more luck is involved.
Also level =/= skill or I'd be one of the better players and I'm defiantly not xD! I'd recommend other pre-reqs.
I generally find people on WL dislike Multi-attack due to the randomness of the style of play.

Thanks, yeah I like the style, just wish there was more competition. If it was all about luck than I'd be a lot closer to 33% on 3xFFA, than 100%!
Yeah, I am keen, if they are realtime. I don't have patience for multiday.

It might be as simple as you using a very unusual combinations of settings: you're not going be able to find another player as experienced with them as you (and most people joining your games might not even know how to use them!).
I have a fun multi-attack template I use. Would you like to try it? Maybe I'll offer you some competition.

Sure, if it's realtime! And yeah I agree, I am familiar with it giving me an advantage...but it's not like I am winning 50% more than I should be--I am winning something close to 200% more than I should be (by luck alone).

Mmm, yeah, real-time is hard for me. (May be another reason you're having such "luck" - maybe the real-time players are less serious?)
Would be fun to play sometime, though! How would you feel about a multi-day game where we agree to play in "real-time" for certain windows of time, and then reconvene the next day if don't finish?

That is possible! I can't deal with games that last longer than an hour. Attention span of a hummingbird.

One of the problems with the revenue system in this game is that while it doesn't give people who pay money any extra armies, or direct benefits, it does confer many many indirect benefits which help players win in ways that Mr. Fizzer either hasn't fully understood, or simply hasn't fully acknowledged...
Here's a hint: Go check out what level a player needs to be in order to create a game with multi-attack...
That's right:
Locked Can enable multi attack mode when creating games = Unlocks at level 38 or by purchasing the Mega Strategy Pack.
So, even though I used to played a Risk-clone game that had multi-attack as a feature , I can't test out multi-attack mode in Single Player against AI opponents for practice...
Oooh wait, apparently I can... on one single map, hidden deep in the templates options...
and when I tried to customize the template, even though the only player added was an AI, so that I could try to load, say... a different map... no dice. :P
And that's after I *really* started looking at my options...
If your template's prerequisites are lower than level 38, I can tell you why you are kicking ass against any player who has a level at 38 or below... your competition has no practice with the feature because it's so limited and so hidden.
Whatever Mr. Fizzer says about how money doesn't buy wins is misleading at best. :P

Ah, I had my min level set to 25, will change it to 38 then.
I'd say the average player I see is around 45, give or take.

Also I don't really want to turn this into a discussion about fizzer and the way the developer has built the game, but I really wanted to play multi attack before I got to level 38. But I play for free, so I don't mind waiting.
