Huwhili expands its small mountain settlement into a thriving town of 65,000. We send diplomats to other known survivor states in Europe. According to the diplomats, radiation is still extremely prevalent along major routes and is constantly spreading across eurasia. An issue our diplomats encountered among the many faction of Europe is an underlying sense of arrogance and authoritarianism, going so far as to make claim to land that is completely uninhabitable. It is of no issue to Huwhili in the end, for the important thing is the existence of surviving states that can work together. The diplomats list the greatest achievement of their expeditions as securing radio broadcasting channels with the other states, ensuring humanity has a way of communicating again.

Meanwhile, Huwhili witnesses a massive draft of 26,000 males between 16 - 30. Huwhili goes to war with the remains of Iran. The first 3 operations meet moderate success, but for the most part the problem is the runaway irradiation slowing things down. There are few casualties at least and the invasion is remaining organized.

The population of Huwhili is also maintaining its specialist nature.

Huwhili also encounters strange "snow people" on an expedition of 200 people around the Eastern coast of the Caspian.

Portuguese explorers are employed to scout out the northwest coast of Africa. Reports are sent back stating that various city states were beginning to be formed in what was former Morocco, each weak, and rebuilding from the crisis. Portugal begin further careful expansion in the Iberian peninsula, but there was no success in finding a purification device. The idea is abandoned. The Portuguese military is built up, preparing of an invasion to the newly built up west-African civilisations. They seemed to be what was left of the Berber civilisations, trying to rebuild it.

Reagan wishes to control all rebuilding operations north of the former Mason-Dixon Line, we'll split the nation like Rome did to govern more effectively until the nation is decently rebuilt.
Harrisburg has running water and electricity again. The government will get supplies to survivors, in ten years we hope to begin clearing rubble out of the cities and rebuild again.

I like that projection of the huwhili-iran war! It is well in mind with the progress i intended.

About snow peoples : there is no indication of them showing signs of civilization. We've only seen a few dozen, and they mostly run away, offer warnings to us, or watch us from afar. It is unclear whether they are organized groups, parts of different factions or are in fact organized into tribes or small settlements. All set do know is that they are well set for mountain climate and interact with us in evasive behavior.

If i am to be displeased with one thing, I've kept in mind that Iran probably retains at least 60ŕ of its modern territory. But, i don't mind.

Nickpicking : technically Huwhili hasn't claimed nation status or any lands outside of its town's outskirts, but i understand is hard to interpret that on a map so i won't hold it against you. I'll make sure to describe the operational movements as i continue to Roleplay the war.

The confederate States agrees to splitting the country for rebuilding. so far Colombia has running water and electric and the power stations on the congaree and roanoke rivers are slowly being repaired and reactivated, Virginia will soon have power, while North Carolina, or what remains of it, is mostly devastated

I understand this, but I thought it would be very strange seeing a map showing a city state conquering a country (despite the fact that that country is collapsing).

Well, considering all the collapse, it's really not impractical. It's a barbarians vs Rome situation.

President Raegan sends scouts to Trenton (NJ) and Philadelphia (PA) and Wilmington (DE). Philadelphia is reported having been nuked, but the suburbs contain a band of about 400,000 survivors from Philadelphia and the surrounding regions. The leader says the camp was once of 1,000,000 people, but over half died from starvation. Trenton has done very well; about 500,000 decently fed people and a sizable militia. Wilmington has done well. Delaware seems to have it been nuked. Wilmington is the new capitol of the United States.

Australia, all that remains of you is that warship. Australia is gone. Huwhili would gladly shelter and hire your warship and crew though.

Huwhili scout expeditions uncover scattered, disconnected survivor groups of roughly 200-800 each (43 were reported) in the Caucasus region. Huwhili identifies these people as the "Neighbors".

Anatolia is largely uninhabitable, save the central region. A settlement of 5,700 was uncovered, settled around a mountain. They declared themselves as "Parsra".

Huwhili had made communicating with the Levant region, and is offering them private living space in the event of an emergency. They understand the burdens of having so many people flock for safety, only to devolve into rioting.

Expeditions into the Arabian peninsula reveals that the UAE had a terror incident, and Dubai was nuked. Their government takes to the desert sands and the remaining, fertile coastline. Saudi Arabia is barely intact, only existing around mecca, a city strangely untouched by the nukes, but still no better than other cities of its nature.

Further investigation into the snow people turns up little evidence. However, we did find one slowly walk toward our expedition unit, and he immediately collapsed where he stood. We struggle to bring him to consciousness.

On the war front, brilliant commander Saviz "Krik" Leon, has captured 120 enemy vehicles, including 20 NBTs, 25 cold war Era tanks and the rest as Armored cars/etc. With this, he had ordered his 3500 men on the Eastern Front to make a rapid campaign all the way to the Persian Gulf. The Central Front and Western Front remain stagnant, with the radiation preventing many skirmishes from turning into large scale engagements.

confederate Marines uncover the Naval base of Wilmington, while very close to the danger zone of radiation, was left relatively intact. The USS North Carolina is re commissioned under the name CSS Hope, it will serve as a hospital ship and close support ship once it has been refueled and gone through seaworthiness trials. also recovered are many hundreds of assault rifles and other weapons form the weapons station, three M1 Abrams tanks, 1 corvette, one minesweeper, and one missile Cruiser, these are christened the CSS Liberty, Faith, and Salvation. They will protect the coast and also search for survivors along the coasts of North America. The capital of The confederacy is officially moved to Colombia SC, which was left untouched due to its relative strategic insignificance. The Confederacy moves to consolidate control to the Mississippi from St Louis to New Orleans, expanding the confederate control.

The Republic of Texas was found as well by scouts, with most of the large Texan cities taken out, its capital lies in Midland Texas, they barely control the state borders and deal with Radiation, the Confederacy is in talks to annex Texas and help with the rebuilding process.

January 25th 1984, Israel

Tel Aviv was spared nuclear annihilation, yet faced a bombardment of non-atomic missiles. It was deemed an unworthy target by the Soviets as the Iranians rallied for an attack on Jerusalem to destroy Israeli prestige and morale. Israel responded with a retaliatory strike with its nuclear arsenal as Tehran, Mashhad, Kerman, and Arak are destroyed. The nuclear missile aimed at Jerusalem misses and hits Arad as the fallout is pushed into Sinai from the storm.

Yaakan Aril begins to rebuild Temple Mount. He declares himself the supreme leader of the Holy State of Israel. He preaches total destruction of Islam and destruction of everyone who opposes him. He hears of the existence of Iran from scratchy radio signals. He is determined to kill all of them. Around this time he learns of the existence of Jordan and Tel Aviv. He furiously orders the invasion of the west bank upon learning of the power of Jordan. Upon finding the Muslim group to the east he orders "The rape of Jericho" were thousands of extremists storm the ancient city and kill all of the women and children living there. The men are rounded up and any rebellious ones are killed.

Any able-bodied men are sent back to Jerusalem were they are packed into prison camps were they are forced to make weapons for the Israeli cause. The Holy State of Israel has enough manpower and weapons to take up the lands from the Nile to the Tigris. But for now his great empire is limited to the river of Jordan.

A young American Christian man exploring the world by the name of Tyler is in Bethlehem when the Israelis invade. He escapes and makes his way to Jerusalem were he learns of the nuclear apocalypse. He stays there for two months and studies Israel. Before fleeing west to escape Aril's tyranny.

In Tel Aviv the Adman Amir becomes a local hero as he sets up hospitals and organizes a very simple government which he is overwhelmingly voted leader. His "rule" extends along the coast and close to the town of Lod to the southeast. Adman hopes to establish connection with Europe and multiple ships are sent to the island of Crete.

They central Asian expedition has uncovered 25 undamaged nuclear warheads in an abandoned warehouse. Reports indicate the warehouse had long been abandoned before the war and that the warhead were deemed faulty. The crew decided to keep the warheads, for their rare materials within.

A Himalayan expedition quickly loses radio contact with Huwhili.

Huwhili would like to trade rare metals for any European agricultural goods.

On February 3, 01 AD, the Alpine Confederation and North Germany announced Project Agentur, an Attempt to restart Space Exploration. This comes after a Soviet Capsule safely landed on the Coast of Northern Germany

In Italy, Sicilly has gained control of New Rome. However, Tuscany is already prepared for a Sicillian Invasion and the Alpine Confederation has full support of Tuscany. Meanwhile, a New Survivor Nation in Hungary called Svestka manages to establish contact with the Alpine Confederation. Soon, Talks will begin between the Alpine Confederation and Svestka for greater co-operation

United States scouts find that the United States Navy still has all of the following to use.
Atlantic: 1 aircraft carrier, 1 Battleship, 1 cruiser, 3 destroyers, assorted patrol boats
Pacific: 3 Battleships, 2 cruisers, 4 destroyers, assorted patrol boats
(Keep in mind that ground targets were for the most part the primary targets, plus the Soviets couldn't hit every last ship in the huge US Navy)
Fuel is scarce however, and using an aircraft carrier is not feasible. A destroyer and two escort boats are sent to explore Europe.
Meanwhile it appears Delaware was nuke-free! Although there is plenty of fallout.
Scientists report that nuclear winter has set in and could last as long as five years. The global temperature drops five degrees. The United States populations has dropped to 18,000,000 as starvation claims many lives. In the United States SE Pennsylvania, S New jersey, and Delaware have been secured. Next is New York and Washington.
