So I tried to make a 10 vs 10 game, but with a twist: Each team starts with 10 reinforcement cards, and receives no more than that. They are progressive, so each turn the value increases. Unfortunately, I've been told that the cards will all remain the same value from turn 1, as the turn number used in the calculation is the one the cards were GIVEN at, not USED on. Is this right, and if so, can I set up a similar kind of thing? The idea was that the players would have to work together as a team to decide when and where to use the cars, as the later they hold them, the more they are worth.

No you cannot make that :(

However, you can do something similar to what you want with sanctions card. Sanctions card scales into the later stages of the game because it works on %. When you take 50% of the income of someone with +5, that's not a lot, if they've +10 it's suddenly a lot more, if they've +100 you now take away 50 armies! Now you didn't want to reduce the income of your enemies, but increase your own. To do that simply set the sanction card to a negative value (for example, -50%) and then play it on the player you want to increase the income on. Increasing the income later in the game might be very beneficial since it'll multiplay a larger income, but increasing earlier in the game might give an edge on the opponent. You'll have to play it the turn before you want extra reinforcements, but it's currently the closest to what you asked for.

Also note, a lot of players don't understand how negative sanctions work- make sure your enemies (and teammates!) do if you want a close game.

Normally with sanctions, we would

10 x 0.5

But with negative sanctions

10 x 2

It's simple math to figure it out.

So imagine someone have 10 income, and a -50% sanctions card is played on them. 50% of 10 is 5. so the new income is 10+ 5=15.

Edit:
It's simple math to figure it out.

Yet you still managed to get it wrong...

The math is:
D=real Deployment
I=Income
S=Sanctions Card Value

D=I*(1-S)

If S is positive (it usually is), Real Deployment will be less then the Income
If S is negative (as suggested), Real Deployment will be more the the income.

ex1:

S=50%

D=I*(1-0,5)=0,5I

ex2:

S=-50%

D=I*(1-(-0,5))=1,5I

Of course, if the Sanctions Card Value is greater than 100%, the Deployment will always be 0. But if it is lesser than -100%, it will continue to multiply the income.

Ok, I'll give that a try. I like the amount of customisation available in Warlight, but you can always have more.

@henns

Ow.. my feelings):

On serious note, i did:

It should have been

10 x 1.5

Not

10 x 2

In regards to the integer of 50%,in this case negative.
