Is it just me, or is that pointless? Had a few players ask me for a truce while playing 1v1 or 2v2 recently. I don't see any reason for peace in those games...

Link to the game? They were (hopefully) probably doing it as a joke. I used to fake-roleplay in FFA games where people put "NO DIPLOMACY" in all caps in the host message, just because their reactions tended to be funny.

asking for vote to end when player has to leave or his teammate got booted is not unheard of.

ps, asking for VTE is reasonable but also completely different than asking for a truce/peace.

I have actually had this happen to me once in a 1v1 and the guy was serious. He didn't seem to understand my confusion over his request.

A long, long time ago, I tried to trick an enemy 2v2 team into thinking it was actually a free-for-all. I don't think that's why we won, though.

I remember that thread... first thread I ever replied to on forum.
Also I actually granted it to someone once in a 1v1, they were low level and I thought may as well cut them a break.
