Ask your comrade Pooncrew who spammed the chat during my Britain diplo game, I should have never invited him.

It's not just that he spams. He also makes the stupidest excuse for doing so.

So Panda invites him and Pooncrew declines. Pooncrew then demands to be removed. Anyone who's hosted a game with any invited players would know that you can't remove players who've declined.

But Pooncrew keeps demanding it. Angry Panda, of course, can't comply. Then the game starts. Pooncrew, as someone who's declined and is therefore not part of the game, doesn't even see the game outside Past Games unless he's got a really wonky filter. So he comes back every single freaking day to spam chat, declare random people PE, etc.- stuff that makes him worthy of any blacklist.

And then when asked about it- about how he even sees the game if his filter is set to anything normal- he ignores it. And then says he's just got poor impulse control and just has to read chat.

I think he's joined a recovery program, though, because thankfully enough he's stopped spamming (although he did come back because Panda called him out on this thread).

TL;DR: Be aware of your clan reputation/baggage/drama before you join, especially if it's a clan of twelve-year-olds trying to look cool on an Internet version of a board game by having a genitalia-themed clan.

For what it's worth, clans like the Poon Squad and others -- 12 year olds trying to look cool by making loads of nonsense -- is the exception, not the norm. Many clans on here are led by adults with careers in real life, or college students like myself. This community has a wide range of maturity, and if you're not in a clan because you think all of them are like our worst examples..... please reconsider. :)

^ Yep. I should've worded it differently- all clans offer benefits (internal games, internal tournaments, a shortlist of people to invite to games, etc.) but they have different personalities. Some are a group of very competitive people, others are small active circles of people who like a mix of RP and strategy, etc. Each clan fills a certain niche, to some extent, so be sure to find the clan that matches your interests the closest.

Actually if you leave your game filter un-altered then you will see all chats from games you have surrendered, declined or been booted from as well as all your other games, I am also in that game and he didn't spam at all..

Personally I use the filter of "Games that are active or have unread chat messages" because sometimes the chats are still good after the game is over. But it sucks when you ask to be removed from a game, the host won't remove you, and you get chats about a diplo game for 4 months when you're not even playing (speaking more generally, not about Pooncrews game specifically).

PS median age of the poon squad is ~24

Also, you are making excuses for poor behavior. It was disruptive and malicious, he knew what he was doing.

Disruptive? Warlight isnt a library. I asked to be removed and wasnt after awhile, so i declined. Malicious is a strong word, for someone who Im pretty sure isnt even in that game.

I don't have to be in the game to know that if what has been said here is true, then it was indeed malicious intent, and extremely disruptive to the gameplay and other players who are trying to enjoy a simple game. You couldn't simply change your filter, you have to ruin a game for everyone else involved, which is bullshit. I'm glad you called out on it.

The only thing that's bull shit is inviting someone to a diplo who is vocally against diplo games' existence and then not removing him when he asks. He says he asked to be removed before declining, Panda should have done it.

Guessing poon can't change his filter because games he cares about would stop showing up

I did not know he was against these games, I invited him and some others because I thought they were nice players, I did not remove because he already declined when I realize he did not want to play it (once a player decline you cannot remove him), and that's not a reason to spam continuously a game, but you know what, now I know I wont invite him ever.
