Today I played my last Idle Battle for a while.

It's not that I don't like it anymore, even though I've played thousands of battles by now. No, I've reached 102 400 BP and got a legendary Triple Strike as reward! No more wzib rewards left to get, so I'll give it a rest, don't want to be in the way of others trying to end high in battle.

First time I played an Idle level was back in December '24, first battle in April. Of course I was slow, and could only look in amazement at those that finished in the blink of an eye. But I quickly realized that it shouldn't have come as a surprise, because my artifacts were still weak and my advancements did hardly anything either. Over time, my artifacts and advancements got better and I got the rewards for 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd place, and passed various BP thresholds for more rewards. Eventually, come October, I got the two epics.

After that, I all but stopped battling. I would join occasionally, to help others reach 10 battlers. And I would actively play occasionally too, after upgrading an artifact that I thought might help in battle, or after getting certain advancements, just to see if I would be able to get 1st on more wzib levels.

Now, as Idle leads nowhere anyway, I wasn't in a hurry to superascend. Instead, I had set myself the target of finishing all levels, including the hardened ones, before doing that. And as if that wasn't enough, I wanted all the techs for all levels as well. But I didn't want to spend forever in Hardened Triskelion or Hardened Europe Huge, so I postponed starting those two hardened levels for quite some time. First I wanted to have certain useful artifacts for getting all the techs upgraded to epic, as well as epic QS and TS to deal with the really big territories.

With that in mind, sometime late in October I realized that after the time it would take me to get those epics, getting that legendary from wzib might not be as far away as I had previously thought. I started battling a lot again. And in preparing to tackle HTrisk and HEH, I maxed out lots of advancements, which meant I got real fast in battle too. And so, battling often brought brought lots of BP, more than once it would be over 1000 BP in a single day!

I didn't use the legendary TS that I got. I knew that even back in October. The only reason for going after it was to have another legendary to give up, in order to make my first insane. And so, right after getting that legendary TS, I've started upgrading my A$B.

In my final battle, I just needed 10 BP, so I sat back and watched as I got it.

I will superascend soon, but not right away.

To upgrade my A$B to insane, I sacrificed my legendary AV. That was planned. I knew well in advance that I would have a lot of fodder by
the time I would get the legendary from Idle Battles.

As of this moment, I've made an epic AV and have 3 other epics, so I need just one more before I can start upgrading it. How long that takes, depends a bit on what the digging crew comes up with. My current estimate is probably just over a week. After that, I'll superascend.

I've used a my TW artifact as often as possible, and 5xtw a few times as well, to speed up the digging and the upgrade. As a result, my insane A$B will be ready in just a couple of days, well before superascending. Only my AV will be unavailable for a few days, but that's a small price to pay for having a legendary AV.

My reign of terror has reached its conclusion.

I'm not planning too, just curious.

That said, I haven't ruled it out either. I'm battling for 25 600 bp now and expect to get there in a couple of weeks. Then I'll have a choice: superascend not long after that, or postpone it for quite a while to get another legendary.

It would not be worthwhile unless I can use it as fodder for another insane, and that's going to take a whole lot of digging. Or coins, to buy one or two more legendaries. Those are the options.

I got my Legendary (Efficient Crafters) on February 17, so about a month after you. The last month was remarkedly easier with not only you getting your legendary but also two others (including STINKFOOT) superascending. Suddenly I got a lot more 1st again. You'll have to believe me without screenshot though as I didn't take one. Pretty sure enough people can vouch for the fact that I was battling a lot.

I now need another 3 rare's to get my 2nd Insane before I superascend, just digging a nearly complete Europe Huge now until I get there in about 2 weeks.

And yes, it was obvious that you, stinkfoot and me were on the same path. No need to post pictures to prove anything; the reason I got a screenshot at all was to have something to remember it by. Not that I'll keep it forever or anything, but it's nice to have for a while.

As for keeping track of stats, I didn't do that at all. However, once I got serious about it and had my advancements to ridiculous heights, I regularly got over a 1000 bp per day. It's not from ending 1st all the time, but almost always in the top 5, and battling a whole lot every day. Well, you (and others) saw that.

After superascending, it took me about a month to get fairly strong in battle again. Not nearly as strong as before, but on the two easier maps I usually get in the top 5 now. So, lots of battling means I'll probably reach 25 600 bp by the end of next week.
