No your head didn't play tricks on you. You did really see Discovery's DannyB walking both in and out of that runway at the same time, proving once again that Discovery is all about "multiplicity", although not exactly of playstyles.

So far, DannyB has double slotted in CW a grand total of 21 times, with his alt ExoNoob, formerly introduced as "DannyB's alt" during Discovery's early days. Whoever said that true leaders have no need to announce themselves... clearly have become leaders of an empty house themselves.

I asked a good friend who plays for Discovery what's the deal about it. He confirmed it happened "only a couple of times, by mistake". I'm sure he was referring to Season 72, the current CW season, but here's the actual deal so far:

SEASON 70
Double slotted 6 times: Day 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 19

SEASON 71
Double slotted 12 times: Day 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19

SEASON 72
Double slotted 4 times (so far): Day 1, 2, 5, 10

His recruits must be really thrilled to see their leader claiming double rewards as well. Must be some sort of 'leadership' fee or something. And where the leader goes, others follow, even within his own clan(s). Double the accounts, double the fun.

Multiple playstyles, multiple accounts... and multiple clans, because much like fine art, a good conflict of interest never goes out of fashion.

While I understand your concern and a clear ruling about this would be nice: Would you rather play CW without any (even potential) competition for Myth Busters at all? This is not the first time the main competitor is under attack by you guys. If I was you, I'd instead be happy that there are still other clans left that care to compete in CW. Some leniency for dying competitions, ladies and gentlemen :)

When someone is playing CW with more than one account, report it.

In my opinion, when it happens by mistake on a rare occasion, so be it. If it's someone new who doesn't know any better, tell their clan managers and let them deal with it. If it's someone who knows, or should know, take away all the CW rewards for the season for that person and all their alts.

If it's someone who has been warned about this before, a stronger measure would be warranted, e.g. not giving any CW rewards for more than one season, and disregarding any wins by that person for the end of the season Clan Ranking, so that the clan does not profit either from those wins.

If it's a clan manager/owner, it's worse. In that case, I say, take away all the CW rewards for the clan for the season, and don't rank the clan at all. Yes, that affects all the clan members. I think that that's appropriate. No clan manager will ever do it when that's the consequence. Besides, not doing it punishes the clans that were lower in the ranking and miss out on better seasonal Clan Rewards by 1 place.

Clear measures like this will serve to dissuade people to try this again. Half measures won't.

The main point is that any comments from MB objectively about fair play/rule infringement has a huge element of irony. It is factual that MB haven't played fair either in CW so pretending to have the tone of being the guardians of the ethics is absolutely ludicrous. It has done significantly much more to harm CW than DannyB could ever do double slotting to try and make a clan give some competition to a much boring event.

The same policy should apply to CW. I think there should be a rule about it But… is there a rule?

Numerous players have broken these rules over the years, from various clans. But on the other hand, many Warzoners ignore the rules about being "respectful to other players at all times" and avoiding "personal attacks".

And about CW: Chivalry and fair play are lost. Only greed remains. Where is the joy in that? DannyB isn't the first to participate in CW with multiple accounts. Did you report it to Fizzer?

I take issue you have wrote a post like as Fede and likely others would interpret as being "written sarcastically and with the implicit intent of ridicule" when it has a high level of hypocricsy attached to it.

To give one example, I remember I was in OP and a member of MB took to his actions to message a player from a high ranked CL clan to specifically aim at OP players and avoid MB players. This is manipulative and imo you're going down a very dark line when you try and put the factors outside of your control to be in your favour. It's worse for me then double slotting cause atleast double slotting is reportable, this is dark and in secret.

I find it intriguing you seem to have an opinion on what constitutes a competition dying. It's more of a thought then an argument, but wouldn't you think in the form of yourself and Uzay, who have left clans lower in the Clan Wars table to join the clan who has won 80-85% of CW seasons (off the top of my head), who won the last season by probably 30 or so wins, You've joined them and in theory made those clans weaker and helping MB win by more, and now you're publically trying to shame the only guy who is trying to bring much starved needed competition for clan wars, you think this action is less harmful than a bit of double slotting that's easily reportable in the first place?

Fascinating truly. I think this mindset is really invigorating and one that ponders thought. For me it's a mindset of a leech and I would say the action of joining MB is equivalent of one of ordering himself a trophy on amazon and recording him lifting it up without doing anything. Even weirder again, proceeding to play pretend scolding politician on behalf trying to kill off a bit of competition by destroying one's credibility in a public viewing.

Plat, you’re correct that underhanded attempts to manipulate CW with a second clan are wrong. These shouldn’t happen, they should be called out, and they should be discouraged by penalties in line with the act.

That doesn’t change the fact that underhanded attempts to manipulate CW with a second account are also wrong. These should also be called out (as geforce has done here) and similarly discouraged.

MB would love a quality CW opponent. This current installment of Discovery is not that at the moment, whether it has 1 or 2 or 6 DannyBs.

While I am playing my CW game vs Pablo Platcasso (pure luck), I wanted to support that CW multi-accing should either stop or be punished.
The best way is however to file a report to Fizzer.

I once reported a multi-accer to Fizzer and it helped. (though ofc it made the guy and his clan dislike me more) I know that the perosn at least got a report, and then stopped playing CW from 2 accs.
