you should rename it from "map of the week" to "map with the most missing connections"

Yea, I think small maps deserve a better chance. They may not require as much effort, but they are nicer for games

It's Medieval England for me, it's well-made, the concept is good and it's just generally a great map.

Many small maps have won already, Huruey's Castle, Imperium Romanum, Battle Islands V, Renaissance Italy. A few others have been 200-500 also.

Its going to have to be Medieval for me :), Ancient Greece in second.

Imperium Romanum isn't small.

I'm going with Great Lakes.

Apollo your new map looks nice as I would expect but it's way too much map for me.

Great Lakes is a great map and easily gets my vote.

I'd say the English map. But it should be a team game. Maybe 3 v 3.

Thanks for the kind words on Great Lakes. It plays well IMO. I turn off the 1 for 1 bonuses (like Guiroma does) and also the Basin bonuses so it does not create two warlords in a single bonus (but it would play fine with them on too).

I choose the Greek map, small enough for more purposes, while the England one is a bit big to do anything, yet small to do anything. It's in bad range.

I played this week's map in open games and the time limit is waay too short. It was all I could do to remain in the game.

For bigger maps, make a bigger time limit and/or banking boot.

thanks

Yes, it is far too short. Game here: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=8509476

I'd clearly won, yes, my turns were taking longer than theirs, but I had the most income, that was expected.
