A special unit that directionally absorbs light to obscure enemy visibility wherever it travels. Units attacking from the presence of a phantom carry the darkness with them.

Here are some pics from a No Fog game with some Phantoms in play. Their locations and anywhere they've been is fogged to the enemy.

This is from Blue player's perspective:

This is from Red player's perspective:

This is an attack from Red's perspective:

This is what Blue sees, 19 armies + Phantom jumping out of the fog to capture East Africa and becoming fogged, then Blue's own 4 units from Middle East & Madagascar attacking a fogged East Africa:

This is Blue's perspective just before the attack:

which turns into this, 19 units and a Phantom lurching out of the fog:

The result from Red's persective:

What both players see 2 turns later after the Phantom expires and all fog generated by it dissipate:

It has an interesting effect when you're playing normally, see some territories and then suddenly they go dark (fogged); imho, it's a good alternative to Smoke Bomb, depending on what you're looking for in a template

Some differences from Smoke Bomb:
- Smoke Bomb is cast on a territory and fogs the bordering territories, Phantom is a moving unit (does no damage & has no health so dies easily) and fogs wherever an attack/transfer is sent from a Phantom's position (including when the Phantom itself moves)
- SB lasts 1 turn only; P has configurable duration
- SB fogs for everyone including the caster but only provides visibility to the territory owner; so when you use SB on a territory, you actually fog all territories that you don't own that are hit by the SB (ie: your visibility is restricted by the SB)
- P provides sight to the caster (and teammates) but clouds for everyone else, so you never reduce your own/teammate visibility by using a Phantom
