We were under Persian or Ottoman influence, but we were always independent with our own kings and living on that land 3000 years ago than Russians appeared in Caucasus.

Also, Sochi as a town was founded later but that doesn't mean that there weren't other cities before that.

This is why I suggested Ubykhia instead of Sochi, that was the other city before that. I still suggest it and suggest Sujuk-Qale instead of Novorossiysk.

Also suggest tartar names in Crimea:
Armyans'k - Ermenibazar
Chornomors'ke - Kezlev
Sovyet'ski - Qarasuvbazar
Simferopol - Bağçasaray
Bağçasaray - Aqyar
Kerç - Keriç

+
Voivodeship of Podolla (Poland bonus near Moldova and Transylvania) is Podolia
Principality of Transilvania is Transylvania

Can I take authentic name suggestions in Principality of Transylvania? It seems you used modern map for naming there too.

Sorry, understood your post wrongly. You're right, that land was called Ubykhia too in the past.

Just as I know that place was called Sotchi because there were many trees of that kind there(Sotcgi is a tree name in Georgian), then Russians changed it to Socha.
Also there were Ubykh tribes living there, so let's say both are correct.
BTW That 1 region on this 2000 region map isn't worth arguing so much.

Do not change Kerç into Keriç. Keriç is Crimean Tatar for the name; Kerç is Turkish.

If you looking for contemporary coat of arms...

Krown of Bohemia

Krown of Hungary

Principality of Transylvania

House of Habsburg (Austrian line)

The Krown of Austria coat of arms is the red-white-red shield in the Habsburg flag.

If there are enough space in the Adriatic sea...

Putting a gerb or flag might be a bit clunky, especially for some strong, but not West European cultured countries. Ottomans didn't really have an official gerb or flag until the 1800s, and Russians had only recently and unofficially made the tricolour in the middle 1600s.

I shared them because I saw that coat of arms appeared in the west side of the map, but now its dissapeared, maybe the creator change his mind or I dont know.

The russian coat of arms was the double headed eagle with a St. George shield.

version of 1589

version of 1667

Find the right Ottoman insignia is more difficult indeed. Certainly they used flags and seals, but maybe every sultan has their own and did not been a unified version. With some research can be find an authentic piece, but the green flag with crescent can be good too.

Better quality:

Anyhow, Zxc said that he wants to finish the map, and then see if he has the memory for aesthetic things like this.

I think another interesting idea would be to put the current country's ruler on the map instead. The information would be more certain and easier to find.

Okay, it looks like there are a few things to clear u, so I will explain.

Firstly, there is still one more test game to do when all the territories have been completed, so you still sign up.

Secondly, I will be adding flags and coats of arms, but they take up a lot of memory, which makes the map take ages to upload to WarLight when I update it, so I've saved them on a different document and will put them back in to the map at the end.

If I may, just found some mistakes:

In Southwestern France, that "Aune" region does not exist, Gascony or in French "Gascogne" would be more appropriate, and "Lannemezan" and "Auch" were part of it, and Béarn (or Pau, capital of Béarn as you named it in your map) was appart of France until 1620 as a sovereign state remnant of the Kingdom of Navarre. But you can add it to Gascogne since it is considered as part of historical Gascony

Territories of France before 1790 similar during the 30 years war (kingdom of France, ancient regime)

French territorial evolution during the 30 years war:

Yeah, this map isn't really 1618. It's more like somewhere between 1625 and 1635, so the thing with Navarre should be okay.

I sign up for new test game.

Also suggest some name changes in Transylvania. Uzhorod, Munkacheve, and Khust are misplaced too south, Oradea too north.

I think would be more accurate with these names:

Baraolt - Brassó
Agnita - Szeben
Deva - Déva
Timisoara - Temesvár
Sighisoara - Udvarhely
Blaj - Gyulafehérvár
Lipova - Arad
Praid - Beszterce
Turda - Torda
Cluj-Napoca - Kolozsvár
Abrud - Gyalu
Ineu - Bihar
Baia Spire - Radna
Gherla - Zilah
Oradea - Debrecen
Rakhiv - Máramaros
Khust - Szatmár
Munkacheve - Szabolcs
Uzhorod - Nyíregyháza
Nadvirna - Huszt
Svaliava - Munkács
Turka - Ungvár
Holyatyn - Beregszász
Dubrynchi - Miskolc
Bieszczadzki - Kassa
