Where is the MTL practice area so that you feel safe to learn before participating in the ladder?

It offers by far the highest quality games (skill-wise) with a fair rating system. Most players that turned elite in the recent years couldn't have done so without playing in the MTL. It includes almost the entire variety of strategic templates. However, at the moment, less than 100 players participate. That's why I am finding it extremely underappreciated.

What is your opinion on, why despite MTL being of so high quality, there are so little people playing the MTL?

You can join a training clan like 101st, but the best way to improve is to learn by doing it. The MTL rating system doesn't punish early losses. For example, it's completely irrelevant what rating I had one year ago. There is nothing "unsafe" about just playing and improving there :)

I believe a main reason is what waffle 1.0 said on the global chat: It's both hard to find for new players and the entry barrier is high (understanding so many templates). Many people without ambitions or too much interest in strategic gameplay don't bother. However, those who do and just don't know about it I want to attract with this thread.

You are saying it's unappreciated but currently only 358 player participate in the 1v1 ladder, which is built in warzone, how many do you think should join for it to start feeling appreciated?

I don't think of it in a way of comparison to built-in ladders. I think everybody interested in strategic gameplay should try it.

If Warzone offered you to show an ad for MTL for coins (or money), would you accept? Under which terms/ how much would you spend?

Who is in charge of MTL? Who makes the decisions about features and templates of MTL?

I would pay if Fizzer would add MTL as a built-in ladder or placed a link to the MTL right next to them on the ladders page. Advertising it is better than nothing, but not a solution.

MTL used to be organized by Deadman and Beren Erchamion. However, as per my information, in recent times Beren has been in charge completely.

MTL is by far the best “competitive” aspect of the game. It’s a big learning curve, but not impossible to master. Definitely give it a try if you want to get better at the game and also meet some cool members of strat community

Is the MTL actively developed now? Are there any plans for new features or template update in the nearest future?

Some pages (like this: http://md-ladder.cloudapp.net/mdlstats or http://md-ladder.cloudapp.net/clanleaderboard) seem to get stuck in September of 2021.

Unfortunately, questions about the development on MTL can likely only be answered by Beren. He hasn't been discussing those with me. It's like asking me about what feature Fizzer will introduce next; I have strong opinions on the topic, but I have no idea what he will actually do.

However, the way MTL is today is, without any updates and further development, by far the best designed competition on Warzone.

It's a way to get familiar with templates that are likely to appear in clan league as well isn't it? I see all 6 1v1 of cl 16 are in there.
