I guess a lot depends on how many clan from season 16 sign-up for season 17 as well, so it might not even be a problem (or from season 17 in season 18 even..)

even with 1 or more drop off clans that won't change anything, it will only affect divD where it'll be just smaller and that's it - at least for next season - .

just provide chatgpt a Screenshot of the final tables, add info about who signed up, tell it about relagation and promotion rules and ask it to distribute while maximizing versatility (in order to not have the same clans compete) and equalizing "skill" (win % etc.) :)

And after you inserted all this info it tells you as OpenAI I am not made for this high decisions bla bla bla bla

hm, not that I considered this in seriousness, but after testing GPT4 on some tasks in the past I honestly wouldn't rule out that it is apt at solving this kind of problem with the correct parametrization
