I didn't count premium colours b/c that's a $10+ reward, and do you really think he's gonna give that out as a CW reward? (the answer is NO)

Need to be realistic. Unless you mean for the really rare achievements like overall season MVP, etc. But certainly not as a reward for every member of a clan.

"It's kind of a moot point because I doubt Idle rewards would ever be removed from CW. CW bridges Idl*rs & people who deserve human rights. Warlight players will play Warlight because they like playing Warlight. Idl*rs will play Warlight for Idle rewards. Simple as. "

<sarcastic fat guy> And developers should of course take people who hold this attitude seriously and listen to what they say and suggest </sarcastic fat guy>

And don't claim you were joking, this attitude is dripping in everything you say.

He gives up $1.50 Inspire Mercenaries powers on the raffles like they're a couple coins. $10 color prices shouldn't be taken at face value because most of the people who would win them as rewards would never have paid $1, let alone $10, for the colors. The prices are all fake. It's like any other in-game store: I could pay $20 to unlock that Darth Vader skin or I could grind for like 10 hours.

Either way, I was talking about CW-specific custom colors that couldn't be bought. Or perhaps could be bought if you'd participated in CW and could be grinded (for marketing purposes) if you were among the top X overall win-getters in CW.

In terms of rewards, CW has huge gaps in terms of both individual and Classic rewards. So an individual Classic reward could do a lot of good.

20 bucks to save 10 hours of grinding does seem like a good trade, but at that point is it really worth it either way just for a skin.
Either way it's either 10 hours of grinding or grinding at work, unless you are very well paid/love your job/have 0 money issues.

Yes, because it's not just about savings. Just as people play CW already for rewards that could be purchased with often pennies or handfuls of dollars, people won't see grinding for a skin as just "saving" for it. Rather there's a lot of value (more than the value of the skin itself) in the grind & its sense of pride and accomplishment.

Either way it's either 10 hours of grinding or grinding at work, unless you are very well paid/love your job/have 0 money issues.
Pretty much. Comes down to:
(1) How you value your free time. Usually people value their free time more than their hourly wages, because you grind at work to get (comfortable) free time.
(2) How you value the activity in itself. Chatting on the raffle for 2 hours a day to getting an expected +2 coins from the raffle is obviously not why people care about raffles; rather, there's other social & leisure value that dominates the calculus and makes it worth their time.

I agree with Morg here. Treating Idlers as non-human creatures.... um... I don't want to trigger a political discussion...
And of course, l4vr0v, you being so extreme, Fizzer will totally, definitely listen to you
It is possible, in fact, I think most of the community does this, to be both an idler and a Warlight Classic player.
I like the Idle game, if you don't like it, that's fine—no need for any hate.

Grinding for 10 hours is not a reason to have pride... it's a sign of failure.

Yep. That's wasting time if you ask me, *just* to get a skin

i mean... we play CW in general for rewards that urban Warlight players could get with just pennies and r*ral Idl*rs could get with maybe a few dollars. There's intrinsic value to working toward a collaborative goal, even if the rewards are small. Especially with limited-edition skins you can't get otherwise.

And that's the discussion that leads to "and you could remove the rewards and get less complaints", b/c people who truly want to play for what it is, don't play for the rewards.

Of course 10 hrs is not worth some paltry reward, esp if you're comparing it to worked hourly wages. If a game's rewards gave me rewards in comparison to my job, that'd be shocking. Presumably people are playing b/c they're having fun, not to earn equivalent compensation of a job.

+100

Either way:
1) No good reason to remove Idle rewards. I can't see this having a positive effect on participation and it would just kill the Idle<>Warlight funnel
2) Possibly good reasons to add individual and/or Classic rewards to motivate players who already enjoy playing Warlight to play more consistently, setting off a virtuous circle where participation begets participation

Fizzer will totally, definitely listen to you
My dude, we've already crossed the point of no return here years ago. The Idl*r thing isn't going to make a dent in whether or not he cares for what I have to say.
