Help.

Since a few days when I open a game it won't load the map and the game just freezes. This is on android

How old is your device/what version? It could be heavy lag

It's a samsung A10s from 2019. It has been playing Warzone just fine for years, with the occasional 'normal' lag spikes when opening a 1200 territory map with 20+ players. It seems a bit like heavy lag but then again it even loads the tutorial level like that, and no matter how long I wait it stays frozen. I reinstalled WZ so it opens on tutorial, leaving me even unable to login.

I have exactly the same problem. as soon as I open a match, everything freezes immediately and I can no longer press or do anything. I reinstalled the entire game, updated my phone, cleared all cookies and a whole lot more. since I reinstalled the game, I can no longer change any settings because the tutorial opens immediately when the game states and then everything freezes

I have an Android. This problem seems to be related to the latest update. I tried lowering the fps but to no avail. I think the issue happens during megagames (possibly other large games) if you linger in the game too long. Unfortunately, I haven't found a cure for it. If it begins to lag, close the game out then reopen it.

I have heard from other players having an issue with the recent update that only seems to occur on specific devices. There seems to be something specific to these devices that makes them not work with the latest version of the Warzone app.

The most common device I've heard of this issue happening for is the Samsung Galaxy A12. I ordered one on ebay for myself, so once I get my hands on one I should be able to try it myself and debug why it isn't working. Once I can do that, I'll issue a fix to the Play store that will fix it for everyone.

On my android, instead of crashing, all maps(including idle maps) render really wierdly. It looks like it's trying to make every map 3d. Currently I can't play on the app because of this

Anyone happen to have an apk of an older version laying around or something?

oh thats not a bad idea actually, Fizzer probably has plenty of old app versions

(but he only shared those because the Play Store was too slow with releasing the updates, while the update still needs to be made in this case)

I have good news! There's a new version of the Android app which fixes this issue (version 5.20.2).
