The ladder has been down around this time the last three days when i have gotten on.

RT-Ladder has some issues several times a day (not creating games)

Additional, players keep being ranked longer than they should (check Wazz, almost 5 days since last game played)

I reported it as a bug or something too.....

I made a post like you did and then I saw the ladder was working again so I "edited my post" which Fizzer deleted.

Fizzer replied to my bug and said he has been working on it. It seems to be working right now.

Game creation seems fixed, still players keep ranked way too long?

It seems like it is down about half the time when I am joined (this time of day). It is not creating any new games again.

Is there a maximum difference in points, that determine if 2 players can play against each other?
Like in 1v1 ladder there is range of +-20% when in comes to rank. So maybe there is similar issue with RT ladder, that don't allow you to play against any players, because there are not in your "range" ?

If that is the case, then the number is really bad. I am only about 100 points behind other people that were on at the same time.

And I have had matchups with people more than 700 points below my rating.

There should be one but it only gets used if their are at least X number of players on the ladder.

Yeah, I think there is some sort of formula that matches players closer in ranks (if more than 2 on at a time). Or is it completely random? IMO, it should try and match the closer ranks up unless they have already played in last 24 hours.

From general observation, this is how I believe the matching works.

Say you have n players on the ladder sorted by their ranks(non-ranked players are below in the order of sort). The ladder picks the player at the bottom of the list, and pairs them with the next available player it can find for them(who they have not played in the last 20 hours). It does this recursively and tries to create as many games as possible.

Of course, games are created at every 5 minute interval(except on days when the annoying bug shows up..).

If you have the highest rank of joined players, you could sit on the ladder for quite some time and not get a game.

there should be some restrictions in the matchup setting or otherwise some changes in the rating system. When players with ratings below 1200 are joined there is no much use for me to join. I win and i dont get any rating points but if i would loose i fall 20/30 points... last week i beat someone and i go 1 point down and he goes 3 points up. So now i only join when i am certain of getting an opponent with a decent rating
