Everybody will get a message from the following template:
Welcome to the 4th Wolves game!
You are in FACTIO _______
You will shortly be invited to your cell chat group, from where you can plan team tactics and work out how to work with your cell to achieve victory!
Remember, to win the game, you must wipe out all wolves and all villagers from other cells, but a word of advice - I suggest you concentrate on the wolves first, else they'll eat you ;)
And be careful - there may well be a wolf, or wolves, within your cell! :O

If you are a special, you will get a following message, along the lines of:
You are a WOLF
Your fellow wolves are:
*SNIP*
As a WOLF in the game it is your role to plot in secret with your fellow wolves about how to slowly pick off the VILLAGERS.
Each game-night the WOLVES will contact me by mail with the decision of who to kill. The WOLVES will then hide in plain sight, pretending to be VILLAGERS, and voting as normal.
The WOLVES win if they manage to kill every VILLAGER with at least 1 WOLF left alive.
Although you are part of a cell, that is irrelevant; you win with the wolf team, not your cell! Your cell don't know that you're a wolf though, so you must act like a villager when talking to them!
You are a SEER
Unlike an ordinary VILLAGER, each night you can ask me to reveal to you in secret what one person's true role is.
You will start masquerading as an ordinary VILLAGER, but it will be up to you if you reveal your powers.
It becomes complicated 'going public' because, for instance, a WOLF may well claim that they are a SEER and you in turn may raise suspicion amongst your fellow players. In any case, you will be picked off quite quickly if you tell people what you are.
You may not 'See' people from your own cell.
You are an ANGEL
Unlike an ordinary VILLAGER, each night you ask me to in secret to protect a fellow player.
You will start masquerading as an ordinary VILLAGER, but it will be up to you if you reveal your powers.
It becomes complicated 'going public' because, for instance, a WOLF may well claim that they are an ANGEL and you in turn may raise suspicion amongst your fellow players. In any case, you will be picked off quite quickly if you tell people what you are.
Be careful - there may be a situation where you accidentally protect a WOLF.
You are a VIGILANTE
Unlike an ordinary VILLAGER, you have two bullets, and can shoot any player of your choosing at night.
You have two bullets for the whole game, so you can either use them immediately, to make the most of them, or save them, but risk dying before they are used - it's your choice!
You may only use one bullet per night!
You are a MUSE
Unlike an ordinary VILLAGER, you have a one-time ability - to copy another player.
If that player has a special role then, if you out-last them, at their point of death you will take over their role. You can fire straight away, as a blind guess, or wait until you have a bit more information and make an educated guess - it is up to you. If you copy a VILLAGER, then you immediately take their role too.
Be careful - there may be a situation where you accidentally copy a WOLF.
