So recently I've been playing with Aranka some chess games to dust off my poor chess skill and we thought it'd be fun to see how many chess players are in the community (both amateur or professional). In any case we could do a warlight chess tournament in a double rr system with 15 minutes on clock (unless we get a lot of participants). So, anyone interested?

But do you have any ideas how to prevent from cheating? It's not hard to run chessmaster or so in the background.

What is Chessmaster? Is it one of the engines? Can you use it quickly? If you can't then we should do real time. I'm not the greatest of players, but I'd like either multi-day games or 5 min ones.

I am a terrible chessplayer with an elo of 1600 maximum. At one point in my life i realized i am too lazy for chess.

But i would consider losing to all of you for the fun of it.
And maybe we could organize a poker tournament while we are at it.

With 10+ minutes is sure can be used. 5 min is maybe too little time.

I like 5 min games. Blitz is pretty much the only real time chess I play.

5 min could be a good thinking time, though I personally like 15-20 min time. 5 min has the advantage that it's too little to use a chess computer program.

Yes, I tend to play 3-5 minute games (blitz). This may be to do with the fact that as I'm not the greatest of players, better players have the advantage of strategic thinking reduced by time pressure.
