I have only just joined but add me.

I think we should begin to start going about making this thing. First thing to decide: what format will this tournament be?

I VOTE just a normal single elimination tourney, and each match is a best of 6

I don't really care for the idea of a single elmination tournament. I'd like to be able to play a lot of different people from warlight on chess as well. I would rather do a round robin where each player plays each other twice (Might have to split into groups for this). Or perhaps a swiss style tournament?

I'm with Jacob on this. I like the idea of a double RR (so you play as black and white).

double round robin would work well, the best would be if there is a premium member, to create a warlight group where we could do several tourneys made by chess.com

I'm also into RR. If double or single game that should depend of numbers of participants. With more than 15, maybe single game will be just fine.

A list of players is quite easy; we can just read through this thread. I think a double RR is essential though, so everyone plays are black and white.

There`s a thousand different ways to organize this, so I suggest that whoever decides to set it up (make the tourney, etc)can decide what format to be played. Also keep in mind that you can play black and white in a single RR too, just make each match 2 games.

However there\s a problem... What should we do when it`s a draw? play an armageddon game?

Well, I am happy to make it. I think it should be as follows:

• Double RR.
• Everyone plays everyone as black and white.
• A win is worth 1 point.
• A draw is worth 0.5 points.
• A loss is worth 0 (This point system is what Chess.com uses).

If people are happy with this, then I'll start to organise it. By all means set up a game with me if you have any ideas.

Latnox is getting the free premium trial thingy so we should be able to have a tournament on Chess.com itself (so I won't make the chat tournament here on WarLight). I'm not sure if you can invite players to tournaments on Chess.com, so if you can't, hopefully Latnox can make it private (by removing players if necessary) and we can join when given the link.

Well, i must have deleted this message about free premium trial. Now when I'm trying to activate it, i can't find nothing like this :/ Either i misunderstood the message, or i don't know where to look. Anyway at the moment i don't have premium account. Sorry for the confusion.
